interesting article in the times supplement today on peoples struggle with ivf, it paints a true and realistic picture. worth reading if you can get your hands on it. love fi

It was in the Times magazine on Saturday, which used not to be online. But if it is, it was called 'The agony and the ecstasy', I think. I must have a copy Helen if you want it (unless DH has recycled it). The only thing I'd say about it was that it was all about the negative side of infertility, which of course I totally sympathise with. But as someone who's seen IVF from the other side, it would have been nice to hear some positives too, particularly in view of the title of the article. Jules

true jules - it was the slightly more negative side of it, but i am fed up of seeing everything on the other side with the media painting the picture that do IVF and all your troubles are over, this is the first REALISTIC piece of journalism!!! Hi Fi! Sorry, I'm not the Jules you cycled with, I'm another one (obviously!). I know what you mean about realistic journalism and there can be a rosy picture of IVF being the answer to everything. It's just that we delayed having IVF for a long time because at the time everything we read was so negative about the whole process and we didn't want to put ourselves through it.
