Jo I have posted this so many times I have blisters but because of the bugs keep losing them. Just wanted to say I am watching your threads and been thinking of you and hoping it is your turn - I have put away the birch twigs and dusted off some news singing knickers as you don't appear to have wandered off the straight and narrow so won't need the birch twigs/trees. Wanted to wish you loads of luck and say it is my birthday on july 15th so hoping you and traci will have some good news for me! Love Tracey xxxx

Tracey HI !!!! How's it going ? I've had my final scan today and they say they can see about 9 follicles which isn't bad I suppose. My biggest dread is that they're empty!! They said my endometrium is "beautiful" - not something you can tell the person next to you at the bus stop but I know you'll appreciate it. Anyway - booked in for EC on Wednesday at 9:00 and ET (ouch - this REALLY hurts me, being founder member of Wonky Womb Club) so we're up & running once more. I must admit to being not QUITE so excited this time - probably cos I know how horrid it is when it doesnt work so I'm trying to prepare. You're thinking "birch - twigs" aren't you?? Yes alright I know I should be more positive! I will be back at work I'm sure on Thursday so I'll let you know how it went. How did your scan go?? Let me know. Take care - lots of love - Jo L. XXXX

Jo How wonderful to hear from you - I used to get the "Wonderful endometrium " bit - like you say not the sort of thing you can boast about - anyone how do you class it as beautiful - or is it just beautiful to other endometriums - which doesn't say much for the scanner! Jo - good luck - 9 follies - well done and they won't be empty - they have measured them so I am just temporarily letting you off but if I hear this again - BIRCH TWIGS!!!!!!!!!! Keep me posted - are you taking aspirin this time - if so just after ET ok? I khow what you mean about excited - I was a bit mixed on it really - sort of looking forward but dreading the no go again! By the 4th time I just tried to stay positive throughout - try it - I know you are pretty good at it so GO FOR IT! Scan at 7 weeks was fine - just the one baby and one heart beat - I was wound up like a coil by that stage and was in tears while she tried to find the heart beat - I could see the sac straight away and it took what seemed like ages until she confirmed the beat - I had been worrying about empty sacs and blighted ovums -yes I am a hypocrite! Have first midwife appointment today to get referred to Nottingham and then book a nuchal which needs tobe done between weeks 11 and 13 - I am 9! Keep me posted and special luck Love Tracey xxxxxxxx

To think that you STILL need birch twigging after all this time!! What are we going to do with you??! Must have been ace to hear that little heartbeat. Bet you still can't get over it!! XX Trace with regard to the aspirin - I have been taking it for a few weeks now. When do I need to stop this do you know?? Did you mean take it straight after ET, or STOP it after ET? Last minute panics you know how it is!! What the heck's a nuchal when it's at home?? Lots of Love - Jo. XXXX

Jo - (Tracey - soz to but in on your thread), but re aspirin - I read that you should take it from the day you start injections, stop the day before egg collection then continue the day after egg colleciton and carry on. I did this and it worked for me (had no aspirin on my first go). Good luck with it all and know what you mean re the ET - most painful bit of the whole lot! This time, because the doc knew I had a bent back cervix, he put an empty catheter in first, then guided the embies in through ultrasound guidance - just as painful as the first time, but at least you know it's in the right place before they get the embies in. best of luck and keep your chin up! Hi Sally - thanks for replying and the info re. aspirin. I will heed your wise words but I do think there could be something in it as quite a few folks have had successes after taking it so I'm really hoping!! Jo baby dust blown your way - at home today after bad night and thought I was losing baby badger - no blood though - maybe was food poisoning which I never get - typical! Aspirin - well I am still on it - took it just before my FET and they keep me on it until week 35! Not sure about just before EC and then stop as was not on for full cycle but as long as you are on it post ET it does not matter - will do no real good for before ET - it is for blood to the womb. PS Nuchal is a test to measure the nuchal fold of the baby - the thickness of the neck which can determine downs risk and can only be measured at around 11-13 weeks. Love Tracey xxx
