Femara, side effects? Breakthrough bleeding?

Is anybody taking Femara instead of clomid? Is breakthrough bleeding normal with it? Started taking it Wednesday on the 5th day of cycle and today when the period is supposed to be gone already (8th) day, I'm seeing bleeding.

Anybody have that? Any other side effects?

tohavefun - Well, your follies still have some time to catch up! 5 days is a pretty short amount of time. Maybe even new ones will pop up? I remember my IVF cycle and follies kept popping up ;)

Thanks guys for your support. I have an appt on Monday where we'll see what's going on. Did anybody ...

Chris - great to hear that your new RE is so much better than the last! And good riddance to that fibroid!

As for me, well, it was too good to be true

Had our first u/s yesterday. The baby is not viable. While there's a heart beat, it's very slow (about 80, when it should be close to 150 ...

Congratulations Renee!!
Guess what? I'm in the same boat!! :D
Our first FET failed in December and we decided to try again with the remaining two embryos in Feb or March. We did try on our own (using the ClearBlue Ovulation Monitor) the cycle following the failed FET. But then exactly at the time ...

tohavefun - That dog/reindeer (seriously it looks like both) is SO CUTE! As for the money and RE, welcome to the "pay for your fertility treatments" world. :( I don't think we get refunded for anything. I guess the reasoning is that it's not their fault either that you didn't have a response or had ...

Okay, I'm feeling better today. Which I can't say for my credit card that endured some heavy duty retail therapy burden yesterday. ;) I just couldn't go home! :( The good thing is I was with DH when they called. We planned to have lunch together, so we can get the news together, whatever it may be ...

Tomorrow is the Judgement Day!

I'm sooo nervous! Still no AF - good sign. Cramps are coming and going - not sure what kind of sign. But it's really encouraging to hear more and more accounts from the girls with BFP's who had them.

Chris - your psychic smiley had me ROFLMAO!! For a ...

Thanks toobee and Val !

I feel a little better knowing that you had similar pains. :) I woke up in pretty bad shape this morning. Had to take 2 Tylenol even. But no AF so far ( tohavefun would have found a smiley with fingers cdrossed for sure! ;) ) Progesterone, of course, could be keeping AF at ...

Hey Everybody,

Don't know if anybody remembers me. I was here in August/Sept when we had to cancel our ET from the first IVF, because there was high risk of OHSS.

Glad to see some of the BFP's I didn't know about. Congrats to you MuchHope and kerpuples!! :)

horsegrl - very sorry to hear about your BFN :(. That really sucks! But you do have 2 blast frosties! :) And that's great! You can have the FET and from what I'm hearing your body may be even more responsive, because it won't be so stressed out with drugs! Good luck!
