Congratulations Barny! What a fantastic surprise. I wanted to let you know that the same thing happened to me - we both have fertility issues, so didn't use contraception after the birth of our older son, and I was pregnant on his first birthday, even though still breastfeeding. . . . I too have ...

Don't worry!
I had sex several times during my first 2ww and have a healthy 19 month old son as a result of that treatment. My clinic said to carry on life as normal, so we did, and it clearly did no harm at all. I'm now 32 weeks pregnant after a natural conception, and there's no doubt in my mind I ...

Hi all,
I haven't used this site in a very long time, but was idly surfing and when I saw this thread I wanted to reply. We had ICSI in July 2003, and were lucky enough to conceive first time, we now have a 13 month old son. I breastfed him until a couple of weeks ago, but my periods returned when ...

Hi Angela,
If I remember rightly you're having treatment at King's?
We had our ICSI there and we were offered the tests but they're not compulsory and we decided not to bother. You have to pay for them - I think they're about £200 - which is a drop in the ocean compared to cost of treatment, but ...

Bad news ....

Dolly,
I'm so sorry to read your news. I feel really sad for you - it just doesn't seem fair. I hope your clinic will be able to offer some kind of explanation in time. Keep strong, we're all thinking of you and sending a cyberhug. Beck xx

MISCARRIAGE AFTER CLOMID

Hi,
I'm really sorry to hear about your miscarriage. I don't have personal experience of clomid (DH and I had lots of fertility issues between us and went straight to ICSI), but a friend of mine, who like me has PCOS, took clomid for one month. She had been trying for two years, and eventually ...

Can anyone reassure/advise?

Hi Nick,
Congratulations! The next two weeks are harder than the 2ww, but if at all possible stay as relaxed as you can - you've seen two lines, so you're pregnant!
My clinic have a policy of not doing HCG bloods, so we had to rely on our HPT, and I didn't feel especially pregnant, or know ...

yet more drama

Oh Becky, poor you! It does sound exactly the same, I feel so sorry for you, it is honestly the worst pain I have ever had! And in Paris they almost admitted me for appendicitis too, until I stressed the IVF stuff - the thing with not being able to move your leg properly is very scary isn't it. <br ...

CAN ANYONE ELSE HELP ME

Hi Angela,
I think it will vary depending on what tests, if any, you've already had, but for what it's worth I could tell you about my experience of King's? Disregard anything that seems irrelevant!

My GP had already given me lots of blood tests, and I'd already had an internal scan (not ...

my update - EPU scan results

What a relief Becky! I'm really glad you went to EPU. What they said about your ovaries makes perfect sense bearing in mind your bumper crop of eggs.

Just to add my experience of the 'how pregnant am I?' debate (which I must've read on another thread). . . King's said they definitely count ...

MY UPDATE WOULD LOVE SOME ADVICE TO

Angela,
Try to stay calm - I remember feeling a bit alarmed when I got all the literature through too, but you'll probably feel much better when you've chatted it all over with someone face to face on 23rd.

I was at King's, and can reassure you that the egg collection is not at all bad ...

help please -inconclusive scan result

Hi Becky,
Sorry to hear what an awful morning you've had. I'm sure you must be feeling really worried, but I don't think all is over yet so try not to panic.
A friend of mine (natural conception) had an early scan because she'd had a previous early miscarriage, and they couldn't see anything ...

Dear Tracey,

I hope you're holding up okay. I'm pleased the wait for the PM results is finally over for you. I know the funeral for little Oliver will be painful for you both, but hopefully it will be a step forward in your journey, and also it will acknowledge and celebrate his life ...
