Re: BFP! Now what??

Hi Claire,

I'm no doctor either. But perhaps it would be best to keep a slower lifestyle until you reach 2nd trimester, or at least until a heartbeat is seen. Most pregnancy loss happens within the first 12 weeks due to multiple reasons. A low impact exercise such as swimming would perhaps be ...

Re: Frozen or Fresh Embryo Transfer?

the books that I read shows that fresh cycles has a higher chances of successful pregnancies. However, if you search online, recent studies (like December of 2012 new), shows that frozen would have a better chances. I had both, and both were BFP. I do think it depends highly on the clinic you go to ...

Re: 8w, small gestational sack with fetal pole. worried

Hi,

Just thought of keeping everyone (or anyone) updated on the progress. After 2 weeks of wait, I finally did an ultrasound scan last week. I was entering my 11th week. The doctor did a vaginal scan, and immediately said "there is a problem".

He saw a pool of blood in the uterus. And when ...

Re: 8w, small gestational sack with fetal pole. worried

Hi Sdtryingagain,

Thank you for your encouraging words. I went to a community clinic this morning, the doctor there feels that I should just wait out as what my primary doctor has asked me to do... so more waiting... one week down, one more week to go... :)

and the doctor even asked me to stop ...

Re: 8w, small gestational sack with fetal pole. worried

Hi,

Thanks for the info. I read every where that the hb can already be detected by week 6. Makes me wonder why my doc didn't even zoom in during the ultrascan to look at the hb. Do you think I should go to another doctor to have another ultrasound?

Not knowing is causing stress. But I'm also ...

Re: Frozen embryo transfer

Hi,

I'm in the same situation with you, only difference is that I am supposed to be 8weeks by now. Last scan at 8w showed a fetal pole and a gestational sac of 13.5mm. Thats all my doctor told me.

Read online that the sac size is small, it should be about 24mm by 8w. The doc didnt say anything ...

8w, small gestational sack with fetal pole. worried

Hi everyone,I'm super new to this and unsure whether I am doing the right thing, but here it goes...

I previously had pregnancy loss at 8weeks exactly a year ago. I conceived through an IVF process and the lab report indicated that it was due to a chromosome abnormality, Patau Syndrome to be exact ...
