Hi all,

It's so good to hear how everyone's doing! I'm doing great. Absolutely no bleeding after that horrible incident a month and a half ago, and my nausea has really toned down (though it's not completely gone yet). I feel so much more energetic, plus I'm feeling happier and more confident that ...

Debra,

Thanks so much for your message! It was great to hear about your second-trimester experiences. Actually I still have three weeks to go (I hit the ten-week mark this past Tuesday), but it's good to look ahead. Still feeling pretty sick, but I think it's subsiding.

Have you begun your tmt yet ...

Debbie & others,

Great that you're doing so well! I had a scan on Wednesday and the little wee one was moving! The doctor was very positive, so I now feel much better about things. I'm actually starting to enjoy being pregnant. My pants are getting tight--probably because I started my pregnancy 5 ...

Debbie and all,

Fabulous news! So you aren't carrying twins (as you had wondered in your earlier message)? At any rate, it's very nice that you'll get another ultrasound in two weeks since they're so reassuring.

As for me, I was a bit down in the dumps for the past week. On Monday I started ...

Lisa,

This is so awful. I'm grieving for you, and hoping that you can still try again. I've had a horrible week myself (hemorhaging) but am, thankfully, still pregnant. However, I'm all too aware of how fragile pregnancy is. Have strength, and let us know how you're doing.

Yeah, the whole pregnancy thing is bizarre. I feel completely bizarre and my emotions are somewhat bizarre (since I can't yet let myself feel fully confident about this--maybe when my first trimester is over?). I 'm surprised at how sick I am--I now throw up every day, sometimes twice. Today I even ...

Hi ladies--First, I hope everybody's doing great and that pregnancy is proving a happy time! I'm VERY happy myself!!! I had my ultrasound and the little embie grew from 5 to 10 MM in a week--big for his/her age and, most importantly, evidencing a good "growth interval." The doctor has no more ...

Welcome, erjumper! I'm also 40 and I'm also (according to my newly calculated time-frame) 7 weeks tomorrow! Of course calculating weeks is a bit confusing since the pregnancy is calculated from two weeks before conception rather than from the date of conception. My IVF was on July 26th and my ET was ...

Smita,

Thanks for your support! I'm still a nervous wreck, but the fact that I feel totally nauseous helps me to retain a bit of optimism. I'll have another ultrasound on Tuesday, which will clarify the question of whether the embryo is developing correctly. It will be my last, which is a bit ...

scary news

Hi ladies. Just went in for an ultrasound today. One surprise was that the "possible" second sack that they had detected last week had indeed developed and proved to be a second embryo (rather than an enlarged vein). However, the doctor could not actually see the embryo or detect a heartbeat--she ...

contrats, Debbie!

Debbie,

I know so well where you are coming from--the joy and relief of a positive result when you KNOW this is your last attempt! We were also nearing the end of our IVF journey. Luckily, since we had used the eggs of a 20-year old, we obtained 7 frosties, so I knew we could try again--but only ...

scan on Tuesday

Yes--I have my second ultrasound on Tuesday! They already "did" me this past Tuesday (three days ago) and I saw one perfect little embryo sack. They detected another questionable entity that might or might not be a second sack. But the nurse told me that veins enlarge so much down there that they ...

Hi ladies. I had cyled with some of you back in March/April before all ground to a depressing halt. At that time I found out that not only was my IVF attempt -ive but that my egg factory had shut down. Anyways, we began to search for a donor, had drama and hard times but eventually found one, and ...

Hi all--

I've been checking in on everyone and just wanted to tell Tracii how much I feel for her (having just gone through a failed attempt a few weeks ago). It's definitely devastating, combined with the wierdness of your body--all those new aches, bloatings, exhaustion, and headaches. But be ...
