Interesting topic. I'm now at the ARGC after 4 fresh and 2 frozen attempts, all with Holly House. HH were great, got my stimms right, got me to blasto each time with good quality embies, but apart from the first attempt (early m/c) they never stuck. We decided that going to the ARGC was something we ...

Natalie, I can relate to this. My history is also pretty similar to yours - male factor, first ICSI +ve then a week 5 m/c, followed by 2 failed fresh cycles. After the 2nd failed fresh I was tested +ve for NKC and was then put on the Prednisolene steroids, though at my clinic you start them on the ...

Sorry to but in, but couldn’t help noticing you said the problem is male factor. I’m surprised your clinics allowed you to do IUI – with male factor surely there’s hardly any chance of success? ICSI is really the only option for male factor (which is our problem). IUI really only works for couples ...

Hi Daisy - congrats on your ET and my fingers are crossed for you.

My clinic will usually only freeze blastocysts, and because with blastos you have to wait 5 days to see which ones develop and which ones are the best (to transfer into you) the chances are usually slim of having any left over. That ...

Caroline, many congratulations on the birth of your daughter. It’s a great achievement and inspiration to the rest of us. I personally think you are totally correct in giving up these boards and move on so totally understand your decision.

Good luck with everything,

Nicola

I had a GE for my hysteroscopy - much better that way!
Well, after my EC I had incredible pains, but that was because 26 eggs were collected so I guess I was suffering from OHSS. I also vomited after EC, which did concern me as that's a sign of more serious OHSS, but I had acupuncture which helped ...

Yep, still trying – down but not out! Had a hysteroscopy back in October which revealed a big fat nothing. I am totally fine and outwardly fertile, so very frustrating!
Yes – still doing the acu, and just got back from Italy this weekend. We’ve got 2 w/ends in London then back out to Italy for a ...

Hi Daisy and welcome back to the board! I too am a bit of a silent partner these days, lurking quietly but preferring not to talk about my treatment. I’ve done it too many times now to feel excited! Sounds like you had a great haul of eggs and good fertilisation too. Fingers crossed for your ET ...

I had acu for my last (3rd) cycle of ICSI. I went to a guy in Harley Street who works closely with the ARGC and has a great reputation (and success rate though sadly not with me). It's important to choose someone who specialises in IVF/fertility. I have a near-perfect cycle so no major problems for ...

You could start by googling but the acupuncturist needs to be one that specialises in fertility. Or ask at your clinic – sometimes they can recommend someone. Also ask here for people in your area or check another website – Fertility Friends. This has separate threads for most of the main UK clinics ...

It can’t really tell you exactly when you ovulated and exactly when AF will come – that really depends on you and your cycle. Some women, who have irregular cycles, will find tracking BBT absolutely no use to them whatsoever. It’s really more helpful to people like me, who have very regular cycles ...

I had 26 follies last cycle and 25 eggs taken, so was very sore. Personally I'd avoid the prune juice - it will happen naturally and I wouldn't try to take any type of laxative (even natural) to force things. The pessaries also don't help here. It took me a couple of days for the pain to subside (I ...
