I had EC on Tue 6 Dec and ET on 9 Dec. On the day of et I had one A/ B embryo and one B grade embryo transfered with 3 B grades and 5 C grades remaining. What is the likelihood that I will have any left for the deep freezer. I have to wait until tomorrow before I can call the clinic and the suspense is killing me.
ps is it normal to wait so long for freezing

Hi Daisy - congrats on your ET and my fingers are crossed for you.
My clinic will usually only freeze blastocysts, and because with blastos you have to wait 5 days to see which ones develop and which ones are the best (to transfer into you) the chances are usually slim of having any left over. That said, because on my last cycle I produced so many good eggs, by the time of ET day I had 9 blastos left, so the best 2 were put in and the other 7 frozen.
Some clinics may freeze day 2 embies - it all depends. I would say that the more good quality eggs you have, the more chance you have of getting some frosties. Technically once the clinic made the decision which 2 to transfer, then the others should be frozen straight away - that's certainly what happened with mine.
