Thank you for your replies - they have helped me kept some sense of perspective, although I was sorry to learn about all your loses.

I've still going out of my mind, now that it is 9 weeks post ET. I haven't been in touch with the hosptial or clinic in a few weeks, and have been trying to get on ...

how long before M/C happens?

I wanted to ask how long it can take for a miscarriage to happen. I had confirmed at week 6 post ET that I have a blighted ovum. I would like for the m/c to happen naturally if possible, but have had no sign at 8 weeks post ET, having stopped progesterone two weeks ago. I have cancelled an ...

'blighted ovum' miscarriage and embryo quality

I'm current six weeks post ET and after suffering with severe OHSS have now had it confirmed that the pregnancy is not viable due to 'blighted ovum' or 'unembyonic pregnancy'. I gather this is a fairly common cause of m/c in early pregnancy due to things like embryo quality etc.
I'm now waiting for ...

Hi all,
Just to update you. Had my scan today - and it is not good. Still no developement. I have to stop progesterone now and wait for MC.

After all we have been through I just hope now that it happens soon and that I am at home. I really want to avoid any more hospital time as I am really fed up ...

I found a website that suggests a wider range for doubling times which can be more reassuring: www.ivfer.com/hcg.htm . you can put in your data and it will work it out for you too.

mine started at 49, and they were concerned about ectopic for a while as they weren't behaving. reached 12,000 by day ...

Hi -
I went to my clinic today - for the 'normal' day 35 scan that they would do. I thought what the heck they might be more encouraging thant the hospital... so I decided to go to it.

Now I'm depressed. They were even more blunt that it wouldn't last as they couldn't see the fetal pole. She was ...

Hi all,
Just wanted to let you know how my scan and bloods went today.
The scan showed an egg yoke in the sac, but no fetal pole - which still worries them, as they say it should be there for the dates really. The lady doing the scan said outright that she wasn't too optimistic for this pregnancy ...

Thanks everyone for your replies - they help alot.
This time tomorrow I should know one way or the other how it is going. It's really weird someone telling to possibly expect an ectopic - I worry that it may still happen, just that they picked it up really early - waiting for the inevitable is kind ...

Thanks Chellejaya,
Your message was very welcome. They did see a sac on the scan last week, but couldn't see anything in it - my HCG at time was 3000, so they thought they should by then. If it was just this I wouldn't be too concerned, because it was very hard to find my womb let alone anything in ...

OHSS, low HCG and possible ectopic!

He everyone,
I'm really starting to feel the strain at the moment. I've had an awful time with OHSS, and am just starting to improve with this after four weeks. However, now I have new worries. In the process of all the blood tests for OHSS they have noticed that my low start (49 day 15) are not ...

Hi Charlie - I had a follow up appointment today for OHSS, and while I was waiting around for hours I was thinking of you and wondering how your appointment had gone. I hope you have had some reassurance and am sending you lots of good wishes. I'm thinking of you.

Hi Charlie - I'm new to this section too, and also still suffering with OHSS after having 5 days in hospital with it. I am still huge, and uncomfortabel, and yes I do get period type pains as well. I also have a new sciatica type pain as well, which I could do without.
I would still stay away from ...

Hi all, and thanks again for all your messages of support which were lovely to see when I was in hospital. I made them let me home after 5 days, as I was getting so frustrated with them! They put me on a drip to thin my blood which had got too thick. I was then on 3 litres a day of drip but nearly 2 ...
