hi
i'm sorry to hear about this! it is a rough way to start.

if it is of any interest, here is my experience. i've had stacks of failed attempts over the years, including a canceled transfer. it is hard to believe, but there are advantages to having attempts fail early. what comes after the ...

Can't be much help sorry. Just wanted to say I'm sorry to hear about your results. I've had many BFNs and they really suck. My cycle is not the same as usual afterwards. I haven't had the migraines though. I hope someone can give you a good answer about those. What does your clinic say?
Hope you ...

Hi
i hope your new clinic treats you with the respect that you deserve. It is a time when you need to be nurtured, not sent through an obstacle course. Good luck!

Hi Mortisha,
The clinic I go to freezes DH's sperm. They like to have it as a back up in the freezer in case something goes wrong on the day. There is a charge for this. They use fresh sperm as their preferred option. I'm not sure what the difference in success rate is. Hope your DH will be home to ...

Sorry to hear about your time at that clinic. Mostly nurses at the clinic I go to do better with their communication than that. It seems like a set back to miss a cycle. It is hard getting emotionally and financially ready to start and then have the opportunity taken away. (It has happened to me ...

EC - freeze

Hi
That's happened to me twice. The first time I had 27 eggs collected (19 good). I did have to wait a couple of months. That was disappointing.
The second time I had 26 collected (22 good). The next time it wasn't such a surprise. Also, the doctor kept getting me back in for scans to look at the ...

progesterone

Hi,
I agree with you about the moodines on the progesterone. It was quite marked when I used the crinone gel which seemed to be a higher dose than the pessaries (prescribed fewer of them per day) so you get a lot of progesterone in one hit. My mood changes were noticeable. I was dizzy too.
With the ...

acupuncture

Thanks VMB. Congratulations on that success. I hadn't heard about the use of acupuncture could help during the stimulated cycle. Definitely something to keep in mind for the next cycle. I do believe that different forms of medicine can produce positive results if administered well (and the reverse ...

acupuncture

Hi
I've noticed people talking about acupuncture assisting implantation. This is not something my clinic has mentioned to me. I'm due to have another FET quite soon (if all goes well). I was wondering if people could tell me a few things:
* how long before the transfer do you start sessions?
* how ...

the long haul

Hi
DH + I started to visit this message board quite recently. Everyone's questions and answers are interesting and helpful.

Since hearing the infertility news, we have been waiting for times when the specialist's availability matched our schedules, waiting for a related operation (large cyst), and ...

2nd attempt @ icsi

hi
good luck!
my specialist won't even transfer 3. i think he might for women over 35 - but hasn't given me the option. i think i read that embryos transferred thru ivf can divide again like any one having identical twins + that this was more likely with icsi. my guess was that makes them limit ...

discharge

Hi
Just want to thank you Pirokp for raising this question. I've had 4 transfers + been a bit confused by the discharge each time. I get strangely shy about bringing that stuff up at the clinic etc.
Best wishes for a positive result!

sex?

For the ivf program, I'm getting used to cutting back on alcohol, caffiene, strenuous exercise and definitely cutting down my bank balance. I attempt to juggle the appointments, procedures, medications and side effects around my work and my social life... but now I hear I have to have regular sex as ...
