Thank you everyone for your kind thoughts and advice. Things are pretty tense around here and the holidays certainly don't help. My DH says he is committed to making things right. He has an appt. with a therapist this Friday to get help and figure out why he would do this to begin with. I think he ...

Infidelity after infertility

I'm in need of advice. After 4 years of struggling to have a baby, we finally welcomed our little boy last Oct. These first 13 months have been difficult, between recovering from a brutal delivery, getting used to having no sleep and a fussy baby and trying to find time to be a mother, wife and full ...

I did the same thing, but for a different reason. We jumped straight to IVF because we wanted to do pre-implantation genetic diagnosis (both of us carry a "bad" gene). After the first round, it became apparent that I don't respond well to the meds and have a borderline FSH. We were caught off guard ...

Hi Vicky,
I had 4 miscarriages too and now I'm looking at my 3 week old baby boy. My problem was likely poor egg quality. All it takes is one good egg and one good sperm. Just when we lost all hope of having a child of our own, we got pregnant last January. Don't give up hope!

Hi Vicky,
I didn't have that same experience b/c I've never had a D&C with my MC. But after my first one I bled for quite a while and had a very high HCG. Brown spotting usually means a really slow, small bleed. I would guess that the spotting, in combination with the elevated HCG probably means ...

Hi Wisonsingal,
I did the flare and antagonist protocol when I did IVF. I think you're actually on the antagonist protocol. The Lupron or Synarel with the flare protocol basically suppressed your pituitary gland so that your ovaries don't try to "think for themselves" and ovulate too soon. With the ...

Hi,
BFN for me, too. I guess 13 really is an unlucky number. We're devestated! This was our last shot, unfortunately. Sorry to hear about all the other recent BFNs. I feel your pain. Congrats to the new BFPs!! To everyone else, I hope your dreams come true! I'll check back in from time to time, but ...

Hi girls,
Well, it's over for me... BFN. I'm in CA, so sorry for the delay in telling you guys. I was shocked. I felt pregnant, I was having dreams about babies, I had no sign of AF and I usually start spotting days before AF actually arrives. All the positivity didn't help us, unfortunately. I'm ...

Sadly... BFN. We're crushed and shocked. This was our last try and I can't even bear to think that at 30 I have to face the reality that I'll never give birth to my own baby. Thanks for all your support.

Good luck, Maryjane!! Hang in there. As others said, no one seems to have the same symptoms so try and stay positive for tomorrow's test. I'll be thinking about you.

Hi Ladies,
Congrats to our recent BFPs!! I hope to join you tomorrow...
Sad hugs to our BFNs. There's probably not much that can be said to make you feel better, but hang in there. Your time will come.
I've been off caffeine for about 3 years, since we started trying. Reports about its safety during ...

Charlie,
Ditto with what the other girls said. It's pretty easy. The worst part for me was the full bladder. DH and I were in the room fighting over two minutes -- he wanted me to lay for just two more minutes, but I didn't think I could hold my bladder! Good luck to you guys. You'll do great ...

Charlie77's DH,
Good luck to you and your wife. I'm sure your sperm will do just fine. You can't imagine what these embryologists can do these days. If your swimmers are sluggish, they may opt to do ICSI in the end, in which case they only need one per egg! Hang in there -- things have a way of ...
