To those who had m/c's-Question

Hi, some of you know me already. I had my first IVF back in November, it was a BFP, but unfortunately I had a m/c at 7 weeks. I had a D&C on December 22, since then I've been having some brownish spotting, that instead of decreasing I feel like it is increasing in amount. Today I am even having some cramping..... .
I did some ovulation tests last week that were positive, but I did them for 3 days and they were always positive, and very positive, so I am guessing maybe it was a false positive from still having HCG in my system.
I am just worried that there might be something wrong, and that is why I am still spotting, I wouldn't like to have to go through another D&C....
Any suggestions????

Please I need to hear experiences about bleeding after D&C...

I just had a call from my nurse, apparently the HCG is still 8,000, so I have to repeat it next week.
I am having like a period now, so maybe that helps lower the HCG, who knows!!
Has anyone else had this after D&C??

Hi Vicky,
I didn't have that same experience b/c I've never had a D&C with my MC. But after my first one I bled for quite a while and had a very high HCG. Brown spotting usually means a really slow, small bleed. I would guess that the spotting, in combination with the elevated HCG probably means that there are still some small clots from the pregnancy that need to be passed. The fact that you got your period is probably a good sign and means that your body is getting back to normal. Hang in there. Good luck!

I did not have a D&C because I had a natural m/c but I wanted to say that I had cramping for a while after wards. I thought it was weird and I also spotted but I went to the docs and they said that it is the body trying to get rid of any additional peices of conception. Unless you are bleeding profusly they said that they wont do a D&C. She gave me motrin 800 for the pain. I am so sorry for your loss. I know how it feels and I wish you tons of baby dust for your future tries!!!
