New Mom at 49

MamaD, the only meds that I had was progesterone by shot, mouth, and supp. I did have to start off with the Lupron shots in the stomach to make sure I was on the same schedule as my donor. The other thing is this third donor was PROVEN. That is the teminology that our Dr. used to show her eggs ...

Re: The Over 40 Crowd

Hello "Over 40 Crowd",

I have not been on here in a long time. I have tried to read up and saw a few names I remember.

Tammy, Congrats on the adoption from China. Is Andrew going with you to China to get the baby? It is just a couple of months away. I wish you all the best.

Rasmina, saw your ...

Re: The Over 40 Crowd

Need some help!

Since they have changed the boards, I cannot find where I can change my profile. I have browsed about all the headings and I must be overlooking it somewhere.

Re: The Over 40 Crowd

Hello ladies!

I see some new names but the familiar ones from the past as well. I haven't posted since Oct 2009. Good to see that you are all doing well and your children are doing good too. Noticed that the boards have changed.

Children - We took a very nice bakery cake and pasteries to our RE's ...

Re: Please share symptoms during 2ww

My last 2ww was late August 2009. I slept the entire time (didn't the other 4), and mild cramping. I had a BFP with triplets. Lost one at 6 weeks, now 29 weeks preg with twins.

Washtingtonda, welcome to the thread. I am 49 and 9 weeks pregnant with twins. My insurance covered 4 IVF cycles. My prescription drug insurance wasn't as good. However, the meds are all we had to cover each cycle. I tried my eggs the first two then decided to go with donor eggs. Two cycles of donor ...

I got a BFP on HPT at 11dp5dt. That was the earliest I tested. That was 4 days prior to my scheduled HCG test at RE.

Thank you all for your great wishes on our scan yesterday - IT'S TWINS!!!! I had lost a triplet. My DH was speechless and kept saying are you sure! I just laid on the table and boo hoo'ed (happy of course). We had two heartbeats 167 and 174. My DS was so excited. We video taped his response. He ...

Sharon, welcome to an amazing thread. Hope the luck continues and you get a BFP. Old Lady Syndrome - I should be CEO of that group.

Poohgirl, 20 eggs is great. How big of a family did you want?

Pauline, mid October is just weeks away. Wow, they are moving you along pretty quickly. Hope ...

gigi, so happy about your BFP!!!! I will be praying for your DS's MRI Friday.

Summer, just 35 days to go. I hope you have everything ready.

Stef, that is hard to believe about the insurance not paying for testing when you are carrying the baby. Do you live in the US? I'm wondering if I might run ...

Pinky, I had the same thing. Only that my DH gives me my shots. I went through three different oils until I found one that I didn't react to so badly. I am now using olive oil and progesterone. I forgot what the other two were since we have been doing this over a 4 year period. I am now 6 wks preg ...

JDC, so happy to hear about your WONDERFUL scan. Hate to lose you. Take care.

Hopeful, what week are you now? Sorry to hear that work is wiping you out. Take care of yourself! Very stressful day yesterday - DS and DH both went home with fever and sick. Both were tested for H1N1 and both turned out ...

Carolyn, yes I am very tired. Working 40+ hours, all I want to do is nap when I get home. I know what you mean just wishing your days away waiting on your scan. Mine is 9/30 and it seems an eternity.

Poohgirl, it has been very quiet lately. I'm feeling fine. Matter of fact if I wasn't tired I would ...
