hormone production post FET?

Hi. I had an FET on 4/13 with a bfp! I did not do a natural cycle, but the hormone replacement variety. Does anyone know when your body starts producing it's own hormones and the pregnancy is not fully supported by artificial hormones? I know with a fresh cycle it is right away, but with an FET ...

Michellyn - did you do an FET or a fresh cycle? With an FET, your body is not making any progesterone on its own and your pegnancy is fully supported by the artificial meds for a few weeks. The other ladies are probably right, but if you had an FET you may want to do another shot, just to be safe. I ...

Hi Michelle - I take 1 cc too. Most clinics personalize it to the patient and adjust as necessary. Supposedly the PIO shots are more effectively absorbed than the suppositories, so maybe you just don't need as much of it.

I did the HPT one week after my transfer. I transferred two 5 day blasts, so if you did a 3 day transfer, it might not show yet. Regardless, if you take the HPT you have to go in knowing that it might be too early. I psyched myself up by knowing that if the hpt was negative I might still be pregnant ...

Hi. My initial progesterone level after my FET was 30 and my dr said it was perfect. Did you do a fresh cycle or frozen? Frozen's tend to have lower progesterone levels that rise slowly over the next few weeks after your bfp b/c unlike a fresh cycle your body isn't chemically in the right cycle spot ...

Lisa, try not to stress  The progesterone causes the cramps. I take the shots too and I think they are worse for cramps than the other progesterone methods. I've had one fresh IVF cycle and two FETs (Fresh IVF = son in 2002, failed FET in Feb and now BFP from FET in April). With all 3 I had ...

Congratulations! I also got a BFP on Tuesday and my count was 290, and that was 11 days post transfer for 5 day blasts. You should go by conception date, which typically is the same as retrieval date. Did they tell you when you would be able to do your ultra sound? I have to have blood work every ...

tanu - did your clinic put you on some sort of antibiotic prior to your transfer to prevent infections? I had to take Doxycycline for 5 days prior to my transfer to avoid an infection. If not, I'd see a doctor - don't want to risk any complications. Good luck!

I've had cramps since my FET. I got a bfp on Tuesday, so it's definitely possible. My RE said that the progesterone causes symptoms very similar to AF cramping. Good luck tomorrow!

Hi - I had a fresh IVF cycle in 2002 that resulted in a beautiful son and an FET on 4/13 with a BFP. They were both 5 day transfers. I had an early symptom with both pregnancies, about 5 days after my transfer.

I realized that I smelled differently. This might sound strange (sorry if TMI), but ...

Hi Kerri. I had an FET on 4/13 and had a positive beta yesterday. I transfered two 5 day blasts that were frozen in 2002. I had 5 left over after a BFP from a fresh cycle back then. I used 2 of them earlier this year with a BFN. I thawed the last 3 this cycle and 2 of them survived the thaw. The ...

I had really bad cramps after an FET cycle earlier this year. My RE said it was from the progesterone and it didn't have anything to do with the actual transfer. Good luck with your blood test!

Hi - I'm not sure what the right date is, but I had a 5 day Frozen Embryo Transfer on 4/13 and tested one week later (yesterday). It was positive! Technically, it shouldn't have really showed up on the HPT yet, but it was an FET, so I had no chance of a false positive and I had some unusual symptoms ...
