Re: twin mamas-must have bed rest to reach 36-40 weeks?

I had a scare last week with some hard contractions at 24 weeks. FFN was negative, though, and cervix was closed. Triage doc said I need to start taking it easier and to stay home and off my feet when I have a lot of braxton hicks, but I have no vac or sick time left besides a litte to cover OB and ...

Re: twin mamas-must have bed rest to reach 36-40 weeks?

THANKS! I also will get 75% pay for short term disability after a waiting period of 30 calendar days. It's these 30 days that are the real problem! I have few vac days and no sick days left until new fiscal year starts 7/1. I can have short term disability for quite a few months - almost a year I ...

Re: twin mamas-must have bed rest to reach 36-40 weeks?

Cymplicity - thanks for your reply. I am nearly 21 weeks now and measuring what a singleton pregnancy would at 26 weeks. I am exhausted all the time and the last 3 weeks have been very uncomfortable and have quite a waddle. THe last few days I have been short of breath on and off as baby B is up ...

Re: Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome (OHSS)

Ghost - that is very interesting. If one has had OHSS in past are they considered high risk? I have triggered with HCG twice since having OHSS. My doc said that it it rare to get it twice, but I know there is often disagreement about protocols.

Re: Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome (OHSS)

I also will share that the draining (transvaginal) is not bad at all if they give you pain pills and is only "uncomfortable" if they don't. I was not in pain during the procedures. I was drained twice in my 5th week of pregnancy. The worst was the shooting pains in my abdomen, the nausea vomiting ...

Re: Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome (OHSS)

My symptoms lasted until I was 11 weeks in my first pregnancy in 2007! Pain, night sweats, insane bloating. I still had some fluid on my ovaries at my level II ultrasound. I had to wear maternity pants at 7 weeks because I was so bloated and that was after being hospitalized for 4 days and drained ...

Timber - I had OHSS with my first IVF pregnancy and it was so painful. I had to be drained twice and was in hospital for 4 days. Hang in there - hope your beta is great!

Re: Beautiful Babies Due in 2011 (Combined Group)

HopeisallIhave - I'm with you - I did not cycle with anyone here - just barged in when I got my bfp! I have a terrible time keeping track of everyone but I learn something everytime I log in. Good luck on your ultrasound and picking an OB! I got a recommendation from my contact at the local mothers ...

Re: Beautiful Babies Due in 2011 (Combined Group)

I hope it's not RLS, but that is usually worse when you are sedentary . . . maybe it's just all your blood? If you do have RLS and need info let me know. I'm an expert after it came on in week 20 of my last pregnancy and NEVER went away to this day . . .

Re: Beautiful Babies Due in 2011 (Combined Group)

Stephanie - Wow - sorry you are feeling so bad! I had not heard that by 22 weeks a twin pregnancy was miserable . . . I have only 9 weeks left to try to enjoy?? Are your babies especially big? Do you have difficulty reaching the steering wheel in your car too, or just your work vehicle?

Honestly ...

Re: How many ladies out there got PG through IVF - ICSI & AH

My RE does ICSI/AHA with all his IVF's. I've got pregnant all three attempts, but one turned out to be chemical. We have one son and twins on the way! I think it must eliminate the risk that the two won't combine.

Re: Summer 2011 Pregnancy Group - Welcome! Pg.1 Has Intros!

Question for everyone:
I have passed the 24/7 nausea phase and am in this new phase in which about twice a day, early am and late afternoon, my gag reflex goes nuts--my throat starts twitching like I'm going to vomit, but I'm not nauseous at all!! I can vomit 2-4 times in a few minutes and not feel ...

Re: Summer 2011 Pregnancy Group - Welcome! Pg.1 Has Intros!

Congrats everyone on finding out their babies' genders!

I had my first trimester screen and genetic counseling yesterday and the babies passed with flying colors. Both had nasal bones, both had good nuchal measurements and the odds of Downs and Trisomy were low. They were very active - one looked ...
