My b/g twins will be 5 months on the 17th (4 months adjusted) and I've been following the same schedule/routine with the 1.5 hours awake, 1.5 hours of naptime (they just don't stay up longer than that usually, but lately it seems like they might be ready to start). It usually works great until that ...

Hi Kimberly -

I'm so sorry to hear about your little boy's issues with the meds (I saw another post you wrote). Is he finally feeling better? I think I had talked to you on the phone right after he was diagnosed with the ear infection. Poor little thing. That's great, though, that she's sleeping ...

Hi Deepa -

When I breastfed my son 6 years ago, I, too, noticed a decrease in breastmilk from doing cardio. I've read that alot of exercise can do this. I just toned it down and started doing it only a few times a week, for maybe 10 minutes at a time initially, and then worked my way up to 20-30. I ...

Babywise/twins question

Hi Ladies -

My twins are almost 12 weeks old (7.5 weeks adjusted age). I read the Babywise book and have been following alot of it, mostly the eat/awaketime/nap part. We give them their last feeding around 8-8:30 pm and they've been getting up around 1:00-1:30ish and again around 4:30-5:00ish. Then ...

We are all just trying to do our best...no harm done, I'm sure. I probably would not have read this book had I known about it with my son, as he was a singleton and I totally nursed on demand. But having twins is a totally different thing...I'm just starting to implement the book and I must say that ...

Hi Laura -

I just printed off your post to show my husband, and to read and re-read! Everyone has been so supportive on this board and your experience sounds so similar to what we're experiencing. They'll be 6 weeks on Wednesday, so we'll be counting down the next 6! My son's colic stopped at 12 ...

Thanks, Kimberly. You are so sweet and caring and it does make me feel better.

We do give Camden the Mylicon drops with almost each feeding and that seems to help. I truthfully just think it's their fussy time and we just have to deal with it, but it is so hard.

I'm also having a hard time with ...

Anyone have a BLEB from nursing

Has anyone heard of a BLEB on the nipple from nursing? I think it's what I have on both of my nipples and they are so painful. We have a local breastfeeding center and I was told about it on the phone (I googled it to read about it). It's basically a clogged duct/pore on the outside of the nipple ...

HELP - inconsolable 5 wk old twins

Our B/G twins turned 5 weeks yesterday, but they were 4.5 weeks early so adjusted age I guess is actually 5 days.

My daughter Brooke started "raging" at around one week old, a rage that I would associate with the colic-type screaming but was not in a daily a pattern that early. About 1-2 weeks ...

Hi Kimberly: I just realized you wrote back - I didn't get an email for some reason.

I finished the Babywise book. What great advice. I'm trying to stick to it, even though they are technically only 4 days old. Brooke goes down for her naps great - Camden screams for a while (in fact, I was nervous ...

Thanks, both of you. One more question for now: when does the time it takes to tandem nurse two eventually decrease? It's taking me about 30 minutes of actual nursing time (Brooke eats longer than Camden). It never took this long with my son, and I think his time actually decreased as he got older ...

My B/G twins are 4.5 weeks (adjusted age is 2 days - they were due yesterday) and I just started reading the book yesterday. I am loving seeing your responses. It seems like it will work. They're taking turns with their raging/crying fit this very minute - dinnertime through early bedtime - anyone ...

Thanks, Kimberly. I'm going to order the book today. I did think of a few other questions, if you don't mind:

When you tandem nurse at night, do you nurse, change diapers, nurse and then put them back to bed? How long does it take you now? It's taking me about an hour to do that. I did this with my ...

Thanks, Kimberly and Kristi, for your replies. Both are helpful. I just needed some encouragement! I feel like I should know how to do this, but you know what it's like when sleep deprivation sets in. I know I have other questions but can't seem to think of them right now.

We did start a nice ...

newborn twins-questions

I delivered my boy-girl twins 3 weeks ago (at 35.5 weeks - 5 lbs 8 oz and 4 lbs 14 oz - both healthy and needed no medical intervention, etc.) and am just getting to the computer to ask some questions. I have an almost 6-year old and man is this different having two!

First, I am breastfeeding with ...
