Thanks for your input! I had all the preliminary stuff done too since I did an IVF cycle in Pittsburgh already. Hopefully Cleveland will use all those testing and just get right to the point!

Anyone Go to Cleveland Clinic or Jones Institute

I am trying to decide between the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio and the Jones Institute in Pittsburgh, PA. I already have been treated at the Jones Institute but they seem to be so cautious that I'll never get anywhere but to bankruptcy! They cancelled my fresh IVF transfer due to high E2 levels and I ...

I agree to talk to your RE. When I had mild OHSS I did have a bigger belly than normal. The main symptom I noticed though was shortness of breath. I felt like I couldn't keep my breath and kept yawning all the time. Good luck to you...Baby Dust!

Anyone Go to Cleveland Clinic or Jones Institute?

Looking for any advice/input on a clinic. Here is my situation. I live in Pittsburgh and was treated at the Jones Institute. I did IVF but they cancelled my transfer because they said my E2 levels were too high and they did not want to risk OHSS. Even though this cancelled, the cycle still cost us ...

FET - How soon until Positive HPT?

Just wanted to take an informal "Poll" . For any of you that did a frozen cycle, how long after your transfer was it until you got a positive HPT. My clinic doesn't test until 15 days after the transfer and I am pretty certain that it didn't work but they won't test me sooner. I am 10 days post ...

Something you may want to ask about is why your doctor did ICSI. If your counts are normal, they should try to let fertilization occur naturally. ICSI is a last resort if that does not occur or if there are male factor issues from the start. You may have a better shot if you let it happen naturally ...

Brenda, I think that is good news. With a 5 day transfer, they will be less likely to send in embryos that are not going to make it so you have a better shot of having healthy and viable embryos!

As for me, I am glad that I have some frozen so that I can have a choice in the future but am still ...

Just wanted to update everyone. I had my ER on Tuesday as well and they were able to recover 23 eggs. 18 mature and 13 fertilized. This apparently is all for nothing though because my RE will not do the transfer because she says my E2 levels are too high and I am at risk for OHSS. I feel fine ...

Brenda3 -- I went today also and my E2 levels are through the roof. They were at 3800 yesterday so today RE said they are probably over 5000. There was no mention about this having an effect on egg quality though. My RE's concern is OHSS. She says she will do the retrieval on Tuesday as planned (I ...

Hi, I am a cycle buddy too! I started Follistim on 11/23 and had US and bloodwork today. I have a couple follicles but not as many as I expected. This is my first time with IVF. Have been trying 2 years with unexplained infertility. 2 miscarriages already. Hoping this works! Good luck to all...keep ...
