Cla - have posted elsewhere to you...

Souris - I am so pleased you have more follies than expected - you must be so pleased. Incidentally, I adore your name but when I looked it up in the baby names book I couldn't find it! You have your ET the day before me. Not long now..

Lynne - So sorry to hear about your friend - what a shock! Glad to hear about the fertilised eggs. Keep your spirits up. PMA your way.

Anna - Enjoy your glass of wine and have one for me - preferably a nice red shiraz!

Angela - glad to hear ET went well. Take it easy over the 2ww and make sure you get plenty of rest.

Sophie, just because Souris isnt in the baby book, you could still use it.

I mean look at all the celeb names that they call their babies.....

Lilytiger, apple, brooklyn, just to name a few......

Start a trend I say, and then in a few years time u might actually find souris in the baby book.

Me and dh luagh at posh and becks naming brooklyn we thought about names like fertility clinic, and hospital, and medical etc.....
I guess u could have testtube!!!!!
TTC 6yrs......Have jumped off the rollercoaster for now, too many BFN's and too much heartache, to keep going....Moving on to fulfil other dreams!!!

Ha, ha. ha, ha, ha!!!!!!
I have been thinking for the last couple of months what a cool name Souris was and then I find out it is French for mouse!

Nickimark - I can't stop laughing! I don't think I will do a Chris and Gwyneth, although perhaps I'll use the name 'Frosty' being as my embies are frozen!

My mother called today to say she is arriving next Friday to visit for the weekend. Friday just happens to be the day of my ET so I had no choice but to tell her and beg her not to tell the whole world!!!! She only visits once or twice a year - I couldn't believe her timing!

Hope you are all having a good weekend,

Hi all, so much going on with everyone,
We had our second scan yesterday and it didnt go very well, i thought we would get lots of follies as i have been quite uncomfortable but we only had 5 small ones, the nurses also expected more but still refused to put our dose up as they are worried coz of my age and OHSS, it might just be hormone but i got quite angry at my rubbish ovaries  :x

we are back in mon so mayby there will be some more, due for EC on fri AHHHHHHH!

Amck: injections are ok but we are struggling to find many unbruised spots, and cant seem to shift this terrible head ache with just parracetamol, i cant remember what it is like not to have one :(

anyway enough of me going on, good luck to all

I am sorry I have been MIA, We were off doing our treatment in Spokane, WA and we live in Montana.

My EC was on Jan. 28 and 14 were collected which resulted in 7 embryos. I was a day 6 transfer and we decided to transfer only one embryo this time and froze 4 more. I will have my pg test on Feb. 11.

I am so far behind all of your progress but I will work on reading the back posts.

Congrats to all BFP and good luck to those of you who are still waiting.

Yikes! That's a long way to go for treatment! Sounds like you did good with the eggs! I'll be praying for your PFP!

I can't keep up with everyone's treatment either. I don't know how you guys do it.
Our dream came true! We are due October 5th!

Charlie - My first go I had 5 follies as well...so I know exactly how you are feeling. I cried on and off for days. My problem was my LH was still too high (this is the one of the hormones downregging should control)...if your LH is too high it is fighting against the FSH (hormone which creates the eggs) and therefore you have a lower number of follies/eggs. You may want to check with your clinic about your LH level. This time I am making sure it is under control.

Also remember most woman have a spurt of growth...so keep your tummy warm and keeping the PMA.

Hi Traci, How many eggs were in the 5 follies and did any fertilise?

Is it ok to keep tummy warm with hot water bottle?
Im quite worried as i work in a really cold gym, and i cant exactly keep warm by going for a sprint at the mo to keep belly warm.
Where are you in your treatment at the mo?

Good luck to all

Charlie - I had 3 eggs....but I think you will be happily surprised during your next visit...I think I just read that Souris had 5 follies during her first u/s and now has 8!!! Hot water bottles are great to keep the tummy warm 8) 8) I have just ordered 2 from the internet..hoping they arrive on time when I start stimming. I plan on strapping my bottle around my stomache with a belt under my sweater  ..maybe you can do the same under a sweatshirt.

I am now on day 17 of downregging and have my baseline u/s and blood test on Tuesday am...so I plan to start stimming wed or thur.

Hi all,

I started on a short cycle last Wednesday. I down regged Wed 0.25 and then every day since. I started Stims Thursday 450 and went to get bloods checked on Saturday morning. Nurse said it was great result and I didn't have to return until Tuesday morning and to continue dose of 0.25 and 450 until then.
I've done IVF twice before and never got this much time off from going to the clinic. Normally you have to go everyday when you are stimming.
Has anyone else done this on their cycle??
My husband says it is good news and that I am been paranoid and worrying unneccessarily. I know I should just ring the clinic and ask but I hate to be such a pain.

I'm due for scans on Thursday and Saturday.

Hi Lisa

I've just completed my first short cycle, and I too found the lack of bloods and u/s a little strange. I began stims on the Fri, then didn't go back until the Tues - so even a day longer than you between appointments.

Enjoy it while you can and go luck !!
