Hi everyone!

Poor dear Jacs, you seem to had a disappointment, but like what Cheryl says, your baby is going to makeup for EVERY bit!
I hope the pain you had is all gone now and all is ok- you really have been thru a bit all through..

Cheryl,
Thank you for your words sweetie- I really hope those water levels rise- i'm not opposed to a c-section if thats the way the Lord wills it, but would bear any pain to go through normal birth..
I do hope your cold is better now, you havent posted on that..
and guess what?
DH may come now for 4 days! from wednesday to saturday..
He said he'll see if he can just come for the heck of it and I'm so thrilled!
Jaymee,
How was your scan?

HUgs to all, Hope you all had a great weekend!

smita

They're having 4 days off for an islamic holiday in Bahrain and he said he'll ask for time off..
I dont know whether to feel thrilled or not cause what if he leaves saturday and i go into labour as soon as he does
I know I'm a worry wart, but well, just thinking aloud i guess..
Little p,
Hows the swelling?OK now? My baby book says to walk if theres swelling.
Take care!
Olivia and Joy,are you girls ok?
Esther,
Both of us are on opposite ends of the water table huh? :D
They've asked me to keep a strict watch on movements too..I get really worried if the baby doesnt say good morning to me!

Hi everyone

I hope everyone is ok.

My scan went well, one baby is trasverse and the presenting twin is vertex. They estimate their weights as 1512g and 1230g, so its nice they are over the kilo mark. My cervix lenght is 2cm but the doctor wasnt worried at all, his exact words were "if you laboured it would be exciting" and nothing to worry about. Well i wouldnt feel excited about 28 week old premie twins, so it was strange. The doctor was very happy with the babies growth, but i wish they were closer in size. They want me to have another scan in 3 weeks, I am getting so big everyone thinks i am about to pop so i either have to explain or just answer yes to "are you due soon?"

My 6yo woke up last night vomiting, she was in bed with me and didnt have any signs of illness, took her to the ER and waited 4 hours without seeing anyone, so in the end i just left, I was feeling so sick from the uncomfy chairs and my poor daughter was getting sicker and sicker and needed her bed. She is resting in bed now and hasnt vomited in a while. Nothing causes more worry then when your children are sick its like a icy knife of fear.

Anyway i better go and have a lay down,

p.s I just want to say its so exciting having so many girls so close to term. And hearing about their deliverys.

best wishes and goodluck everyone

Morning all

Well - another week and onwards - I am now so excited I can barely contain myself. All I think about is what life is going to be like and meeting Little One.

Cheryl and Jacs

I hope that you both feel better soon. There's nothing worse than feeling under the weather so big hugs to you both.

Don't worry about the hospital too much - remember it's the miracle that you take home that matters, nothing else. Just keep looking forward to a safe and smooth delivery.

Smita

I'm so glad you might have 4 days with DH - what a wonderful extra bonus that will be. Stay rested won't you and looking after yourself and Bump.

Esther

Good to hear from you - take care and good luck with everything, not long now.

Everyone else - Jayme, etc good luck with everything, sending loads of hugs and wishes your way.

Little P

Hi everyone

Hoping you are all doing ok. Im sorry some of you are struggling with colds or pregnancy problems and hope you are better soon. Your babies will be here soon so hopefully all those worries/problems will be over (Although then you can guarantee to worry constantly about your little ones!!)

Its so exciting to hear of Susie and Shers exciting news. I am so thrilled for both of them! I have now set up a new thread on the 'Parents after treatment' forum for us all (Called 2005/2006 mummy's). With so many of you close to delivery soon, it will hopefully become a fairly active thread, when we are able to have time to post of course!

Sorry I dont have the time for personals for you all, but I want you to know I do read your posts and try to keep up to date with you all.

Jenna is doing great. We are already noticing changes in her. She seems more alert and taking more notice already. Motherhood is wonderful but it is tiring as well. I think its getting used to different sleep patterns. Even though I spend a lot of time resting, getting used to only having an hour or two of sleep at a time is just something my body has to get used to. One thing I am glad of is that we were well organised before the birth, so I would advise you all to have everything sorted and ready if you can, so you dont have to think about anything but you and your baby. Jenna did make me giggle the other morning. I was carrying her downstairs, early hours of the morning because she wouldnt settle and I wanted to let DH sleep. As we walked past one of the cats asleep on her bed, Jenna was promptly sick all over her!! The cat didnt know what hit her!! Jenna settled afterwards though, so it obviously made her feel better!!

I promise I will get those photos sorted soon! It is on my to do list for DH!!

Take care everyone

Hi everyone.
I am here on modified bed rest. I had some contractions about 2 weeks ago and landed myself in the hospital. My white cell blood count was high and they thought I had an infection in the uterus so I had to have an amnio(not fun at all) Good news was there wasn't an infection there. but I ended up with a major sinus infection and spiked a fever so they wouldn't let me go home. I was in from Tues to Sund.
Been home a week and I am just taking it easy.
My doc is worried about preterm labour, so I am off my feet until the end. Let me tell you I am going crazy.
My cervix never changed with the contractions, so that is good. And Joey at last scan 2 weeks ago was 3 pounds already.
I was very scared because if there was an infection in the uterus they were going to have me give birth to him at 27 weeks 1 day. He would have been in the hospital a pretty long time. It broke my heart to even think about it.
Like I said it all turned out well though and he is still where he is supposed to be. I have to go to the doc every week now to make sure my cervix isn't changing. So that means a fun internal once a week. UGH.
Sorry it took so long to come and write I have just been wipped though the stress of it all took a lot out of me.
Good luck to all that are due shortly..... !!!!!!!!!!!!!!I envy you cause I feel like a beached whale at the moment and have 10 weeks to go until my c-section. ( planned due to pelvic size, won't be big enough ).
All my love
Joy

Joy

OMG - I'm so sorry that you had to go through all that, what a horrid time you've had. I'm so glad that things are ok. I know the bed-rest thing is a real pain but if it ensures that Joey stays where he should for a little while longer then it's definitely worthwhile ....

Take care of yourself and remember to get plenty of rest - good luck with all the weekly appointments.

Love and hugs

Hi all, still following your progress and getting very excited for you all as the time gets nearer...good luck!!

life with little ned is fantastic. he is an adorable baby and very calm and contented most of the time. i have surprised myself by feeling pretty calm around him (unlike me!) and i can honestly say that i think it helps. at night things are a bit more challenging. he feeds roughly every three hours which is great, but is very hyperactive and struggles to sleep afterwards unless he's held. we usually manage to get thim to do a few hours in his cot but unsurprisingly he's happier with us! as kim says you notice changes every day and i've been amazed by how alert he is. i read him some stories tonight and he was enthralled..

hope to see you all over the other side on the new thread..it would be great to exhange news and tips.

p.s if anyone is wondering about whether to buy one of those rocking/vibrating chairs, ours has been the single most used piece of equipment we have. ned loves it and it always calms him. you can carry it around the house (get one with handles) so you can get on with jobs while he sleeps/plays!

love to all

Smita dont worry about having a c-sec, I have now had 1 natural and 1 c-sec birth. Although I was petrified of a c-sec it wasnt as bad as I'd imagined. At the end you still get your baby and its all worth while.

I am besotted by my baby. I have bonded with Ryan alot better than I did with Abby. I think this is as I always thought I would never have children so I was always scared something would happen to Abby, so I never really let myself get truly attatched to her.
I look at Ryan and just realise how much I have forgot about what Abby was like as a baby, that makes me treasure my moments more.
Although I'm still in a wheelchair (hopefully this will go when the pregnancy hormones do) and I hurt from the section I am already considering a FET with my frozen embies sometime next year. I just love being a mummy and I must admit I'm starting to miss feeling my tummy move!

Anyway to all you ladies left, enjoy the last few weeks of pregnancy and good luck with all your deliveries

Susie,
Thank you for the reassurance and I totally hear you on not letting yourself get too attached for the fear of losing someone.. I'm wondering how I'm going to be as a mommy.
Ryan sounds a darling. Please put up piccies of both your babies.HOws abby with the baby?Any signs of jealousy?

Joy,
Sounds like you've had a big time scare.. Bed rest is horrid isnt it? makes you want to at least go and stand out in the balcony.. I was on bedrest from week 28 until 32 and went every week for check up as my cervix was opening up.. hopefully fter the 32nd week they'll tell you you're past the stage of worrying and can take gentle walks around.
take it easy now though.

LP,
dh, is down with flu, so I'm telling him to rest up there instead of coming down here(one of my RARE generous moods in this pregnancy :D ) A part of me wants him to come and another part wants him to take rest cause I feel sorry for the poor dear..
It all depends on whether the flu gets worse or better today.. though am not sure if air travel wont accelerate it..
I can feel your excitement abt the arrival! you havent mentioned how you are these days- is the ankle swelling ok?
Kim,
Its lovely of you to post, I looked in prematurely on the parents thread- I do that once a while just to read about the trials and tribulations of new mommies..Cant wait to join u all there. Another 10 days max??I dont know..

Minnow ,
Thank you for the advice abt the rocking chair, I've been making a note of useful things- havent bought ANYTHING yet-considering this is mom's home and I keep thinking I'm going to be off in 30 days after lil one(fingers crossed) and theres no pointin lugging prams and the like back..
So, right now my list just keeps growing, although I hope I'm not burning my candle at both ends bu keeping it all until after I get there..

Olivia,
How are you and your lil man?
Cheryl,
Hope your cold has abated by now.
Jacs,
are you feeling better?

Take care everyone!

I'm so sorry about DH - isn't it always the way!!! I do hope that you are together very, very soon.

The ankles are still slightly swollen, but my GP said not to worry just have an hour or two resting each day - BP is fine so no cause for concern. Thanks for asking, that's sweet of you to think of it.

I can't believe this is the final countdown - can you, some days I'm so impatient and just want to meet Little One and other's I'm quite happy to wait a little while longer :? all I know is that DH is very, very excited and looking forward to it so much which is lovely.

Hope everyone is ok and taking care.

Love and hugs

You bet I'm excited LP!!
Glad to hear all is ok and nothing to worry about.
Do you find yourself worrying about inconsequential things these days?
I've always been a worry wart, now I find myself worrying abt things which are not remotely concerned with me- like the neighbours sisters family :?
I think I'm a nutter!
dh is coming tomorrow after all :D
The sweetheart said he'll get all better when he sees me..he is so sweet.

I was hoping he'd come and he really is :D
Great huh?

Hope everyone is doing well

Well time's moving on (and on) so quickly now -

Just wanted to check in and see if everyone is ok.

Had another scan at the hospital this morning which was amazing. She was a really lovely sonographer who took the time to talk me through all the bits and bobs that were on the screen. Little One's head is right down now so difficult to see any face.

It was lovely to have the opportunity to have another peak!! S/he is growing well and the fluid levels are all good so that's a relief.

Anyway, hope that you are all ok and taking care.

Love and hugs
