Jen

I've had acupuncture. It does hurt a little bit, but they say if it does that's a good sign! Go for it, be brave! You've been brave in everything else to get to this stage, you can do it!

Please can I join the Feb/March testers. I have just had my Hycosy, my tubes are clear (phew!) and so I've a pack of Clomid in my bag, ready to start IUI when AF arrives in a week or so. So in theory should be testing mid March.

Good luck to all. It's going to be an exciting few weeks!

Julie - Thank you so much for your information. I did call the doctor out of hours last night, and went to the clinic this morning. they confirmed i do have OHSS. I'm so glad I kept on questioning it. It is the third time I called them since ET with my concerns, I was beginning to feel like a hypocondriac!
I'm resting and drinking as much as possible and trying to think positive because the doctor did say that quite a high proportion of people that do get this do have BFP as well.

I really, really, really wish you all the luck for your news this afternoon. I'm rooting for you.

Many thanks,
Angela

Angela,

So glad that you were diagnosed so that you can start treating your symptoms. I always feel like I'm over-reacting to every little thing I'm feeling so when I found out I was sick with the OHSS, there was almost a little bit of satisifaction.

Keep up the with the rest and following doctor's orders! Wishing you the best!!

Congratulations Saraid!! Well done!! :D :D :D

Julie: Good luck!!!

As for myself, what an experience today, even for an ivf veteran! I had 7 eggs colected which 4 fertilized. They were added to my last 3 frozen embies, which thankfully all survived the thawing. So 7 embies entered the race to become blasto.
On monday(day 4) 3 decided not to keep growing, so four left in the race. Today(day6) they said they finally had blasto to implant , two :D One from the frozen lot (age 34) and one from this cycle (age 39). So luckily we had 2, still a lower percentage from the initial race  but the age-39-blasto is almost hatching :D . Nothing left to freeze, but hopefully I wouldn't have needed anyway! This is it. I am now in the 2WW,but I test on the 17th, which is only 9 days away, so 9DW...

Good luck everyone! Lots of BFP to us!

Laura,

Thanks so much for sharing your experiences. As a first-time IVF-er, it was immensely useful and helpful to hear about.

I'm still amazed at today's medical technology -- that you can have two blastos developed from an embryo created when you were 34 and another created a few weeks ago is just incredible! Will be cheering both little blastos to the finish line -- Good luck!
