Wahoo...lots of :D :D Great results ladies, keep 'em coming!

sml. Some clinics only do blood tests, others tell patients to home test and if +ve, only then offer a blood test. Most people like blood tests as you get an idea of your numbers so that you can track them getting higher with any follow-up blood tests. HPTs are usually very reliable if used on the right day after tmt - esp. the better ones, ClearBlue etc. They're not so good if people test early due to potential residual meds in your system.

Good luck to all February testers.

Hi Girls,

Congrats to all the BFP's....may the trend continue!! :D

I've managed the first week of the 2WW without too much analysing and stressing, however I feel the second week is going to be a different story!! I am really positive at the moment but you know what its like, the temptation of an early HPT is sometimes too much to handle!!

sml - my clinic give us a HPT to do and then we have to phone through with the results. Would imagine if its a positive they would then do a blood test to confirm, but as I haven't got that far....yet!!...I can't tell you for sure! :? Here's hoping that this time next week I will be able to!! :D

Kate and Debra, Thank you both for helping to clarify the hpt/blood test concern. I guess I will do an hpt and (fingers crossed) follow up with a blood test as well.

Congratulations Cla, Chellajaya and ECYI! What fantastic news -- I am so so happy for all of you. It's truly inspiring to see so many :D :D :D !

This board has been really wonderful helping me with the 2ww. DH has very kindly planned a weekend getaway for us so I probably will be off line after today until Monday. Wishing everyone many positive thoughts throughout the weekend -- and for those of you testing in the next few days, wishing you many BFP's!!!

It is so great to see so many BFPs!

I am curious... some of the ladies have 2 smiling faces next to their names. Does this mean something different than having one? Just trying to decipher the "code" as I am pretty new here.

Thanks for all of the good wishes! Wishing all of you Feb. testers the best!

Julie - No secret code...just different people up date so some have one and some two.

Again congrats to all the BFPs! :D :D :D

Hi Julie

I see you're referring to the last updated test thread that I did. I usually give the +ves 2 x smiley faces, just to make them stand out, as at a glance there's not much between a :D and a :( .

However, I've just looked back at the last list and I see I've not been consistent. That's just me being potty (I'll blame it on mid-2ww-hormones !). Will sort for next time !

Well, all those BPFs are so encouraging. Well done to you girls!!
Carly, Maybebaby - so sorry that this time didn't work for you.

I'm now putting my name back on the list as they did finally go ahead with ET. However not everything ran to plan as I ended up in hospital for 5 days with OHSS. Am better now though - although still doing quite a good impression of the Michelin man  Look forward to catching up on all your news next week when I'm back at work.

GOOD LUCK to all!!
Eminde xx

HI all

Don't know if you all agree but because we have had so many positives this month, i am sure it is due to spring being on the way and the whole renewal process.
In Zita wests book she says to attempt iVF in the spring as you have more chance of success,i know we are not quite in spring yet but the buds are on the trees....

Many congratulations to all with positives and good luck with your scans!!
