Hi Sand

Great to see you back wishing you loads of luck for the 15th.

Just wondered did you change clinics and if so do you mind me asking where. We are in the process of deciding what to do, as not very impressed with St Mary's.

Anyway Take care

hey Sand

I am here to haunt you and even little Sweetie is doing Ukrainian dances for you....

this will be your time I just know it - glug down that pinapple juice and keep your hands on your tummy and send vibes to your embies, they love it when the spiritual warmth of their mum comes through..

big hugs

Hayley,

Sorry if it appears I am been nosy but are you talking about St Mary's in Manchester?? My friend was there when she was doing her NHS cycle. She initially paid privately at MFS in Manchester which failed and used her 1 and only embryo left at St Mary's. She did get pregnant off that and gave birth to a gorgeous little boy. However, she did say that St Mary's have little or no time to attend to their patients and that it took her nearly 8 months to get a treatment cycle out of them as they were so busy.

I believe there is another one called Care that is covered by NHS, if that is of any help.

Ay - Thank you EVERYONE for your wishes. They mean such a lot to me. :D :D

Nicki, Smita, LP, MissMolly, JenC, Jen, Deb, Susie, Michelle, Bella, Lisa, MLG, Cla, Christine, Ukrainian Jules, Haley and last but not least Randa .... You are all starrrrsss, thank you .. x

Pinapple juice ?! I didn't know about that one ? Will have to send df out to shop ..

Haley .. Yes, we were at St Mary's but decided to change clinics. Nothing specific, but felt like we were on a conveyor belt. You're right, the success rates aren't tremendous but they do have them. We've had one or two success stories on here from girls at St M's so you've got to keep up your pma. Lots of luck with your scan on Friday.

Lisa - As far as I'm aware, Care only do private treament.

Christine - Yes, we did change clinics. This cycle is at Care Manchester (a couple of streets away from St M's). Care's published success rates look good. IVF = £2200. ICSI = £3050. Initial consultatoin and HIV / prelim tests etc = £350. Then there's the extras like general anaesthetic = £175. More for freezing embies etc .. I think it was around 8 weeks from GP referral to consultation. You'll need to do the Welfare of the Child docs again .. boring ... Good luck if you do decide to change.

Hi,

Didn't realise Care was private. Our GP never offered Care to us which obviosly I assumed must have been NHS as we didn't qualify for NHS (I'm too old at 36 and I technically have nothing wrong with me, just a partner that had a vasectomy). He told us MFS was the only private one, just shows he knew nothing.
