hyperstimulation

Post by homefries19 »

We did our first IUI Jan.28th and I developed ovarian hyperstimulation after the 1st HCG trigger. The dr. told me to take the second, and I ended up in the hospital overnite from the pain and fluid collection in my belly.

My serum HCG was negative at 11dpo, so I'm doubtful that this time was a success.

Question...Anyone else have OHSS and if so, how long until you went ahead with the next cycle?

I'm just scared to do this again and have the same bad reaction. :?

Hi there. I too suffered Severe OHSS but as a result of IVF in Jan 2003. It has taken until now for us to decide to have another shot at IVF. I know how you are feeling and we are due to start our treatment planning Feb 23rd. I am feeling so scared in case this happens again but my consultant has assured me that it won't. Nevertheless there is always that element of doubt in your mind isn't there? I just keep thinking positive thoughts though. Are you going to have any more treatment?

I had my 2nd IUI this morning and my RE said he is concerned about ovarian hyperstimulation because my estrogen levels are very high based on yesterday's blood work. I had my 1st HCG trigger yesterday morning. I've been having really bad bloating/cramping tonight and wondering if this is related to hyperstimulation - how do they treat this? any advice or info would be greatly apprectiated . thanks!
