Hardly a newbie.!

Post by DebraP »

Hi...I'm Debra and I'm an IVF addict

The board has seen me leave 2 or 3 times but I keep coming back. I've just had my 8th round of tmt and am due to test Tues. 21st.

History:
Aug 02 - IVF = success. DD born May 03.
Jan 04 - FET = -ve
Mar 04 - FET = +ve but chemical, ended at 5 weeks.
July 04 - IVF = -ve
Nov 04 - FET = cancelled, failed to survive thawing.
Apr 05 - IVF = +ve but ruptured ectopic at 7.5 weeks
Aug 05 IVF/FET combo = -ve
Feb 06 - IVF = ??

I'm feeling quite positive about this round. It was our first antagonist/short cycle but I was slow to respond to stims so it was extended by a (very expensive) week. At the final scan there were only 3 good sized follies + 2 tinies. Four days later, at ET, they collected 11 eggs. 5 fertilised, 4 made it overnight so we've 2 x 4-cells frozen and 1 x 4 cell and 1 x 6 cell were transferred back.

Good luck to everyone on the board.
Debra.

Debra???

I'm confused.... Debra? Is it really you? Or are you the perpetrator of some cyber identity fraud, stealing our Debras moniker? Set her free!!!!!

Well if it is Debra - blinking heck girl, such a top surprise to see you back on the boards!!! You are my ivf poster girl. Not in a misconstruable Isle of Lesbos way though
So many questions... when did you decide to get back on the horse? Can't believe you're testing so soon!!
The measure of my surprise can be summed up by counting the number of exclamation marks in this post! There's another!!

Well of course - I'm sending you all of my positivity (such as it is) and will make my Luck Gene secrete a bit more magic just for you. Pop in to our Old Octobuds thread - we miss you!

Well. I'm all wierded out now so I'll have to abandon my "exam study" and go shopping - if I don't pass, the blame therefore lies squarely with you :D

Take Care Young Debra

Lola, Feb 21 is going to be soooooooooooooo fabulous. You're going to start something wonderful and I'm going to be quietly (and hardly moving off the ground) jumping with joy over a +ve pee stick.

Yes it's me. What can I say? I figured it was a bit like David Brent keep going back into Warnham Hogg after having said his goodbyes. Hanging sadly around, hoping to catch people's eye and feel part of the crowd again. I'd lsaid goodbye, left, got cold feet, thought better of it but really didn't feel I could burst through the door on a Monday morning with the troops...to stretch a metaphor somewhat.

I had a follow up in December and both ovaries had follies on so he concluded our previous cycle (Aug/Sept) had been too soon after the ectopic (mid May). Because we'd had a ruptured ectopic, he assumed there had been more damage than he'd suspected at the time. To which we replied 'hmm, thanks, can we have our 4 grand back please', apparently not....

I did a short cycle. And yes I was on here leading a dangerous game (bit like those adventure things you've got going on in October buddies, like the Matrix, but more impenetrable) trying to be supportive etc. whilst preparing and going through tmt myself.

Anyway, the cloak of deception is cast aside....I'm back!

Da da!!!! She pops out of the hat complete with fluffy tail, a size-too-small leotard and a grin like Mona Lisa.
You are a true Sydney Bristow Alias-a-likey and I have to sadly hand over my FBI batton and jet pack to you, double agent P, codename: red fox.

You are so right! It is biblical standard karma, if you don't mind a bit o religious pick n mix (and frankly, who doesn't?), 21st will be a spectacular day!!! Positivo a go-go!!!

Rewinding a bit, They That Know These Things think you cycled too early after the ectopic???? Nora Jenkins! You'd think they could have worked that out during your last cycle??? I have a plan, don't pay for this cycle and tell them you've been given a Mia Culpa voucher from the consultant and spend the 4 large on a Mundo Exotica Vacaccione (or some new Xtreme X country skis  whatever marinades your kebab) instead.

Also, does that mean that I'm cycling too soon after my ectopic? Hmmm ponder on, shameless viewers.

Well it sure is fantastico to have you back (briefly, before you decamp to Preg after Treatment section  ) Miss P. Take care of your covert ops self and keep us all posted on a regular basis.

Parachutes in situ!!!! Geronimooooooooo

Hi...the too small leotard sounds positively obscene given the bloating going on here. Cute idea re. the money back voucher and a holiday but it's a one-man show and so I can't try 'the other doctor said it was OK' line......unless I mean you Dr. Jones!

It won't be too early for you. My damage was done via the rupture, not mopping down the decks after.

We'll be fine. Roll on 21st.....
