Hi everyone
thanks for all your well wishes and support. unfortunately my pma is plummeting, as I've just started bleeding. I've got AF pains and I'm sure this is the end. Last attempt, same thing, I started AF 2 days before testing.

I dont know what to do. Should I do a test now just to know for sure? Will it be worth it? I dont know if I can wait 2 days with AF just getting stronger...I think I'd rather just do a test and get the result over with.
god - this process is awful.

Paula - I'm so sorry. There are still hopes (implantation bleeding etc.) but I understand the need to know, deal with it and move on. when I bled on my first cycle, the clinic said I could do my own test if I wanted. I contemplated it, but actually decided to keep my test date at the clinic. Not really sure why, just wanted them to do it to be sure. However I had prepared myself for the result.
Would probably be a good idea to call your clinic and have a chat to one of the nurses first before doing anything. And also remember that there are plenty of women on here who have bled but still had a positive result.
Big hugs.

Paula .. I can imagine just what you're going through. I've had the same thing on a couple of cycles. As Cla says though, there are plenty who have bled and gone on to +ves. This is true agony isn't it.

Good luck whatever you decide.

thanks for the support guys, it means a lot. I do hold out some hope, and I've decided not to torture myself any further with a test now and just wait until saturday.

The thing that worries me most is that this happened with my last -ve.....
here's hoping.

Sand, I see this is your 4th try. Good luck for the 15th, you really deserve it after all that.

Its crazy, but I almost feel like I'd like to start adoption enquiries....I just cant face the idea of years of this with nothing certain. Maybe I should see a councillor to help me and DH. He's going to be devastated when I go home and tell him I'm spotting.
love to all

You can't give up hope just yet I can imagine how your feeling I've been there. I was bleeding and had really bad cramp pains. I tested early though and I got a negative, but then 24 hours later the day I was due to test I got a positive. I had bleeding uptil I was 18wks pg and was getting AF pains. I have a little boy now who is 2 through ICSI, I want to wish you all the luck in the world.

Paula - Please try & hang in there. It is not easy, but well worth it in the end. These times can be the hardest & test our strength the most. I hope more than anything that it is +ve like some of the other women who have had bleeding before their test dates (it has happened a lot).
If it isn't, take a break, but remember, you will get stronger again.

I am keeping everything crossed for you.

Paula -- Good luck!! Hang in there. I know exactly what you're going through, but we'll really never know why our bodies do certain things. They can be very misleading. I think you're doing the right thing by holding out until Saturday. That gives your body 2 more days to be that much more pregnant. :) Keep up the PMA.
