Hi Richard,

I am sure everything will be fine. They only need a few good ones. Having millions of them is only a waste anyway.
You will be fine and your wife will be happy with whatever you can do.

Hi Richard

Everything will be fine, I'm sure they will get enough sperm, like Macca says they only need a few. You will be able to look your wife in the face and be very happy to tell her how many eggs your sperm fertilized...!

Anyway I just wanted to wish you all the best..... I hope you get lots fertilized..! Keep us posted..

Give your wife my love also

charlie 77 -

just wondering on previous sperm tests did they not freeze any? i know they did with my DH when it looked like his count was low. It might be worth checking, if so it will take a little pressure off. Wishing you all the best, let us know how you get on (i mean how many eggs are fertilised)

take care

Charlie77's DH,
Good luck to you and your wife. I'm sure your sperm will do just fine. You can't imagine what these embryologists can do these days. If your swimmers are sluggish, they may opt to do ICSI in the end, in which case they only need one per egg! Hang in there -- things have a way of working out in the end!

Richard, that's great news, a really good number of eggs and well done on your side of the bargain.

The thing I've learned, having been around the IVF block once or twice, is to take each day as it comes. Don't borrow trouble and worry about stuff further down the line, enjoy each day as it is.

My clinic say that paracetamol are fine after EC if there's pain, hot water bottles and rest.

Good luck and we'll watch for your fertilisation news tomorrow.
Say Hi and well done to Charlie!

Great news ! I'm glad it's over for you. Just make sure DW gets plenty of rest of the next couple of days. She needs to be as fit as poss for ET.

Good luck !

Well done Richard & Charlie,

Glad you did so well. I'm sure the embryos will be dying to get in there and snuggle up for the next 9 months.

Make sure Charlie stays rested and calm for ET and after. She needs the blood to go to her womb. 3 days bed rest after ET.

Really pleased for you both.
