Hi
I've noticed people talking about acupuncture assisting implantation. This is not something my clinic has mentioned to me. I'm due to have another FET quite soon (if all goes well). I was wondering if people could tell me a few things:
* how long before the transfer do you start sessions?
* how many sessions do you have?
* (this is a long shot) do you know anywhere in Brisbane (Australia) that does it?
* how do you find an acupuncturist who knows about it?
I'd be really interested in any help you could offer.
Thanks
Faith
I underwent accupuncture for this cycle. I am always a good responder to the medication but this time, the eggs produced were very good quality. I had 22 eggs retreived. Out of which 2 reached blastocyst, 5 were early blasts and 6 cleavage cells. So, I attribute this success to accupuncture too.
1)I called some clinics and asked if they do invito-augmentation. I started of asking some general questions. Then, you come to know if they really know it or not.
2) The doctor started the sessions as soon as i got on the stimulation cycle. It was once every week. Then he did one before the transfer and one cycle immediately after the cycle.
3)Accupuncturists too specialize in different ailments like allergies, sports ailments etc. We need to go to that accupuncturist who specializes in gynec or infertility issues.
Believe me, its such a relaxing feeling which is so much needed after the stress one undergoes during the IVF cycle. Also, The needles arent painful.
Thanks VMB. Congratulations on that success. I hadn't heard about the use of acupuncture could help during the stimulated cycle. Definitely something to keep in mind for the next cycle. I do believe that different forms of medicine can produce positive results if administered well (and the reverse too). So I'll try calling some local clinics and see what they sound like.
Best wishes to you.
