I am sitting here typing with my jeans unzipped! I am feeling really bloated & fat right now. My belly seems really swollen and big this time. I hope it is not a bad sign. I have my scan tomorrow & I am really nervous about it. I will post when I know the results.

Hi everyone,

Just got home from my u/s. It went really well :D I have a total of 18 follicles, all of which are a great size! I went to see my nurse afterwards, & she said "Looking good" (in regards to my u/s, not me!!!!!!) I feel very relieved. EC will be on Monday - but they will confirm with me later in the day. My uterus was also nice & thick. Fingers crossed that Monday goes ok.

Bel - how are you feeling? Are things sinking in yet for you?

Hey MissMolly,

Sounds like all is going swimmingly, well done on 18 follies and good luck for pick up on Monday, I will have everythng crossed for you.

As for me, still feeling really tired and quite sick, but no, still not really sinking in at all to be honest. I think once I get through the 12 weeks nuchal fold scan I'll feel a lot better, I still have in the back of my mind that until 12 weeks anything could happen, just need to remain cautiously optimistic I guess.

B
P.S. Well done re. the sicky as well, should be more of it!!

Josie - CONGRATULATIONS to you, DP and all the family!
:D So thrilled to hear about little Tilly's arrival. It sounds like you're settling in really well which is just great. Hope to see some pics soon.

MissMolly I'm really happy things are looking good for you too - fingers crossed for next week.

We're playing the waiting game now. Baby's head's engaged (belly changed shape quite dramatically overnight on Wednesday!) but I haven't started feeling any labour symptoms yet. I've still got 11 days to go. I alternate between being impatient for it all to start and being a bundle of nerves :? My Mum's coming up early next week though so it'll be nice to have some company and distraction at home.

Wishing you all a happy weekend.

Miss Molly - that's great news. All the best of luck for Tuesday.

Just curious - does your clinic do EC under general anasthetic or local?

Belinda, 2 weeks sounds like forever away... Are you feeling any better?

Hiya Ladies. I lodged my visa application this morning to go to UK and we are now awaiting boxes to come so we can start packing..... Sandy, good luck with your test on 15th. You are in Lancashire? I think we are going to Hertfordshire.

Hiya gals,

MissMolly, you may be in for egg pick up as we speak (well type I suppose!)..thinking of you and I have everything crossed as well. Do let us know how you get on, can't wait to hear about your bumper crop!

Deanne, any news yet????? you must be all a bit over it by now!!

Tiger, packing's not much fun is it?Is the visa process difficult?

Bella, our clinic always did pick up under a general, I've not heard of it being done under a local..have you?

We're going OK. Annie has a rotten cold, we had such a good run without colds, such a shame to have them back again. I feel terribly guilty, I have just weaned her from breastfeeds (led very much by Miss Boo herself I have to say), but feel terrible that she gets sick as soon as we stopped. She certainly used to get colds when she was breastfed, so probably a ridiculous thought...I do seem to beat myself up a tad though!!..I'm OK, tired and sick, but OK. Johnie and I are going out for dinner tonight at a local flash restaurant, should be lovely..

Happy Velentines day to all :D

Hi

Had EC done today and we got 10 eggs. We are so pleased & relieved. We finally hit the double figures with our eggs :D I had quite a lot of pain whilst in recovery - but had some lovely IV pain relief & then felt like I could take on the world!!!!!!!! Pain has settled right down, whith just some mild discomfort.

The nurse (he was a guy) who walked me into the theatre actually works at the same hospital as me & said "maybe I'll see you around at work" - after what he would have seen during that procedure, I think I would put my head down & run!!!!!!

All we need now is fertilisation. I have everything crossed.

We always have EC done under a general. I know some clinics do it under sedation, but I think most in Australia do it under a general (thank goodness!)
