I am not too sure about the visa thing, it should be pretty straight forward for them. Hopefully it won't take too long before I get it. Our tentative date to fly out to UK is 10th March 06 - no boxes yet though?.
missmolly - that's great news....10...wow! I have everything crossed for a good fertilisation number too! I hope you start to feel better soon before ET.
Belinda - Last cycle I was under general, but at Sydney IVF, they mostly do local. I am going to have local this time. They said it's a bit quicker recovery, and the other good thing is that DH can be there with me, and the scientist is there and puts the eggs under the big screen as they are retrieved, so you can get a feel for how many quality eggs you have on the day. I'm not really too scared about it, but now that I've heard no-one else has really done local, it is a little scary!!!
The clinic said I couldn't start FSH til Friday. I had a big cry about that (it just seems like everything is going through hurdles already), and DH is away, but I'm feeling a bit better now & can't wait to start on Friday. My boss said today that I can take 3 weeks sick leave as well, so will be able to relax. I really hope that this is the one....

Deanne did her IVF in Sydney - I think she got her EC done under local too? maybe you can ask her about it when she pops in next time. I am so sorry that you had a tough day yesterday and that you had to go through with it all on your own. Make sure your hubby spoils you rotten when he returns! PMA PMA PMA.
Just got fertilisation results - 5 fertilised. I am a little disappointed, as we were hoping for more. I shouldn't feel this way & I need to remember that we got 0 last time! I hope they make it to Saturday.

Tiger, thanks for your kind words re. Miss Boo. The cold is pretty yukky, lots of green snotty expereinces and a cough that just sounds dreadful..seems to be there when she first wakes up in the morning and after day sleeps..not much fun for the little tyke unfortunately (or for her parents to be honest!!)..Hopefully she gets better soon, and if this cough doesn't improve I'll take her to the doctor in the next day or so to get her cheked out..
Bella, agree with Tiger totally, keep up the PMA, stay positive, it WILL happen. Us aussie/kiwi chicks are on a roll and it will just keep on rolling I reckon!!
I am really annoyed with our clinic. We were told that we would be put on the day 3 theatre list & the day 5 list, depending on the state of our embryos. Our regular nurse is on holidays. No one else seems to know what the hell is going on. We called this afternoon to get an update & they told us that the embies won't be checked until tomorrow. We told this nurse that we may have to go in tomorrow for a tranfer & asked what time we were booked in for (they were going to cancel if we made it to day 5). We have not been booked in for anything! She said they may just have to fit us in at some time. The problem with that is that I have to have a clexane injection 5 hrs prior to ET!!!! I think we have the right to be given an update on that status of our embryos. I am so annoyed & have no idea what is going on!

Missmolly - I'm so sorry. It's the last thing you need right now to be stuffed around by your clinic. When will they call you & let you know? In the morning?

Jan 09 - FET...BFP!
Clinic called first thing this morning & our little embies are doing really well. They are starting to compact & doing what they are supposed to be doing. We also found out that we have 6 not 5 embies!!!! Just having that extra one makes me feel better
ET will be tomorrow (provided nothing bad happens to them overnight).
I was so brave this morning & gave myself the clexane injection. I have been so scared about having it as it is a very large dose (100mg). I jumped out of bed & said to myself "if you want a baby, just give yourself the bloody injection!". I took me only a couple of seconds! It was fine, the hcg is worse, although it does sting a lot afterwards. I was more concerned with the pain during the injection. DH thinks I'm sooooo brave.
Bel - I hope Miss Boo is starting to overcome her nasty cold!
Hope everyone else is doing well. I will not be posting for a couple of days, as I am going to be laying on the couch & not moving after my ET - Foxtel here I come!!!!!

I have verything crossed for transfer. Relax, soak in the foxtel and take it easy ('cause once you have a toddler running around in a couple of years it's much harder to do!!)
