Hi all

Thank you all for your lovely words of encouragement; unfortunately it was definitely a BFN for me :( I am now looking forward to starting a FET cycle which my dr said I could start immediately. That was a surprise! and has helped to alleviate the pain and get me into a more +ve frame of mind.

Kate - it's just 1 more day for you now!
Lisa - good luck for tomorrow.
journey - again my congratulations. Hope the 2ww doesn't drag on too long...
Allison - hope you had a good holiday? I hope the time rushes by so that you can get started on the FET cycle. Well done for the PMA!
Traci - how are doing? Really hope the news was more +ve.

Good luck to all.

Hi all,

I had my egg collection yesterday. I only had 7 eggs. Only 5 were good enough to inject (ICSI) and only 2 fertilised. I have been so upset today with this result because the last two times I did ICSI, some of the embryos died off the night before ET. I am suppose to be in tommorrow for ET but wont know if they survived until 15 mins before procedure. They tell you its so important to relax for ET but how can you when you have to go through this first. Anyway sorry to bum you guys out with all my pesimism. :(

Best of luck with all your treatments. :)

HEY EVERYONE, JUST A LITTLE DEPRESSED THIS MORNING. I AM WONDERING IF ANYONE ELSE HAS HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE PROGESTERONE IN OLIVE OIL INJECTIONS? YESTERDAY(TUES) I COULD HARDLY WALK BY THE END OF THE DAY AND WAS IN TEARS AND MISERABLE. MY BUM MUSCLE HURT SO BAD WHICH RAN TO MY LEG. I CALLED MY DOCTOR ON CALL AND HE TOLD ME TO REPLACE SHOT THIS MORNING(THUR) WITH MY PROGESTERONE VAGINAL SUPPOSITORYS AND DO ANOTHER AT LUNCH TIME THEN ANOTHER AT REGULAR BEDTIME SCHEDULE. I DON'T WON'T TO MESS ANYTHING UP AND A LITTLE NERVOUS AND SCARED BECAUSE IM ON MY 2WW. IT TOOK EVERYTHING I HAD TO GET THROUGH THE WORK DAY FEELING THAT PAIN YESTERDAY. SO WHAT IS ANYONES OPINION ON THIS AND DO YOU THINK THE SUPPOSITORYS DO A GOOD ENOUGH JOB TO REPLACE THE INJECTION? IF SO WHY DO WE HAVE TO GO THROUGH THAT MUSCLE SHOT? I AM SUPPOSE TO GO TO HYPERSTIMULATION ON THURS, WHAT IS THAT ALL ABOUT?

ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT RIGHT NOW!!

THANKS

Oh Lisa, I'm sorry you've got this additional worry just before ET. I was exactly the same at my last FET - wondering if the 2 would thaw successfully. I think the way you've got to look at it is that those 2 little embies are obviously little fighters to have made it so far. They're doing their best for you, so you've got to put your confidence in them. I believe that the biggest hurdle is to get to the fertilisation stage - and they've done that ! You won't help them by sitting worrying about them so try and relax ... have a bath, read, get dh to give you a massage !

Lots and lots of luck for your ET tomorrow. I've got everything crossed for you.

Sandra,

Thanks for your lovely message. I have been so tearful this morning and I know I should buck myself up and get some PMA. What's hard is no-one other than my husband (and the IVF website) knows about this treatment. We have had to lie to stop people from finding out. I think the stress of that and having no-one to talk to has taken it's toll on me.
I'm sure they will make it through the night.

Lisa - The few days before my EC this cycle, I did hardly anything but cry. The stress of the whole thing is just so much ... I don't think you fully realise until it's over and you can sit back and reflect. The day of my HCG I was in Tesco and nearly freaked when I realised there was only 1 till open, and I only had 40 mins to get home for injection .... I think they thought I was a bit of a loony, but they opened another till for me :)

Lots of +ve thoughts being sent to you noth for today and tonght ..

Eminde - I am so sorry for your BFN. Worst pain ever...please take time to heal before starting FET. I'll be praying for you.

Journey - Sorry you are having troubles with your Prog. shots. Mine hurt also but not as bad as as yours. My hips were sore by the end of my 2ww but I maybe I am so used to pain, having been thru surgeries and painful tests before, I was immune to it.
I never took the suppos. but I heard those are also as effective.
My clinic told me I could numb the area with ice before getting the shot and then a heating pad always helps me with pains when I can't take any Advil or Tylenol. I would try that if you have one.

Macca8 - good luck with your ET! It only takes one remember!!

Hi to everyone else!! Hope your week is going good.
HUGS,
Allison

Hi,

For everyone that is frustrated and wound up on their IVF or playing the waiting game before treatment, have a try at this.

Lisa, sorry to hear that you're having such an upsetting day. I'm crossing my fingers for you that the two fertilized eggs you do have are strong and healthy ones!

I'm a little worried about the same thing with my cycle. I go in for my first ultrasound to check for stimming follies this Friday and I'm so nervous I'm almost dreading going to my appointment, worried about the bad news I might have. The doc thinks my ovaries will be hard to stimulate. We'll see. I'm hoping they will prove him wrong! :P

I can't wait to hear how it goes tomorrow. Best of luck!!!! :)
