Hi everyone
I'm currently doing some research for my third attempt at ivf. My first 2 were done with CRM in london, but with my own consultant gyne (who is head of fertility at Barts). I've had loads of confidence in him and at no point have felt there was more he could do. Both Barts and CRM have a live birth rate of 36%, which is well above average.
But I've decided to try a new clinic, just because why not. I feel in this world of ivf you have to try new things, especially if the existing thing hasnt worked. I've got nothing to lose and everything to gain.
It seems the clinic with the highest live birth rate at this point is Assisted Reproduction and Gynaecology Centre in London, with their rate at a whopping 58%!! I called yesterday, enquiring about skewing figures and the average age of their patients, but they were adamant that they refused no-one and the average age was late thirties. They also gave me a live birth rate related to my age, which I found encouraging (I presume the most accurate you can get from a given clinic).
Has anyone had any experience with them? Does anyone know why their birth rate should be so much higher than everyone else's? What are they doing that is so different?
Any thoughts, experiences would be appreciated.
Many thanks!

Paula,
There's quite a few people on here who've used ARGC. Seems they are very professional. There's athread somewhere - I'll try and find it for you. If not, I'm sure the girls in teh know will answer your question!
Good luck!

I used the ARGC and found them both professional and friendly.
They were fantastic throughout the whole of my treatment. The only thing I will advise is that the treatment is very controlled and involves a lot of visits - for a fortnight you have daily blood tests (sometimes being called to go back for a second on the same day).
I really can't say anything other than they were brilliant
thanks LittleP! Were the frequent blood tests leading up to egg collection? Did they give you a reason as to what they were checking exactly? In comparison to my treatment, thats totally different. I saw my specialist twice during the entire treatment, excluding EC and ET.
They must be doing something better given their results. Sorry if this is an insensitive question but are you currently pregnant LittleP?
Cla - if you can find the thread that would be great! Otherwise I will post again myself and see if anyone else responds.
