Kate 21,

Sorry to hear your bad news. Had a bit of that myself today. We can cheer each other on and try and get some PMA eventhough it's really tough.

Lisa, Kate - despite your sad news well done for trying to stay +ve. We WILL all get there in the end.
Michelle - how was your first scan today? Hope it was good news.
Amanda - hope your injections are getting better now. For me the anti-thrombosis ones were the killer.
Jen - belated Happy Birthday and have a lovely relaxing holiday.

Am off myself on holiday tomorrow for a week's skiing (or snowboarding if I dare to try it  ) Hope to come back with lots of PMA for the FET in March. Lots of luck to EVERYONE!

Hi all,

Had some better news today. Eventhough my clinic has no appts until mid May they called me today to offer me one for next Wednesday, with the lady that performed my egg collection operation. I was a bit worried that might be a bad thing but was told it was to look forward.
I'm going to hear them out before I make any final decisions to switch clinics, I guess at least they are trying.

Langton,
How did you get on with your ET? Hope it all went well for you. Bet you will feel loads lighter after carrying 28 around with you.

Hi Ladies, I've had some disappointing news today as well. Had the first scan to check for stimming follies and not many there. Guess I'm a bad responder to the meds. Just waiting to hear back on the blood test to see if we'll move forward or cancel our cycle. They also said that sometimes the first scan doesn't show much but several days later they pop right up. Just never know. I'm not giving up hope yet!

Will keep you all posted.

Hi all,

its been a few weeks since i posted on here, keep going on the new year buddies thread and then running out of time!!! Well today i finally made it to ET, my 3 little frosties survived the thaw and 2 had already divided overnight, so they are the chosen ones, really hoping they stick around this time.

All the best

Sue, congratulations on ET. Just getting through the thaw is a major achievement. I hope your 2ww passes quickly and smoothly with only smiles at the other end!

Michelle. My current round started badly re. follies too. Only 3-5 throughout even though we extended stims by a week and I was on 350 Puregon a day. The good news is it can all come together right at the end. We went into EC expecting 3 follies as that was what our final scan had showed, they collected 11 eggs and we got 4 usable/freezable embies out of it. Hold the faith!

hugs

Hi Everyone,

It has been a few days since I signed on so I have had a lot of reading to do to catch up.

Lisa/Kate, I am sorry about your bad news. I know how difficult it is to receive this news. It sounds as if you are maintaining a PMA. Lisa, I hope your appt on Wednesday goes well.

Eminde - a week of snowboarding! That sounds like a fabulous way to relax : )

Michelle - I am sorry to hear about your scan. It is good you are staying positive. Remember it only takes one good egg : ) When do you go in for your next test?

Sue - GOOD LUCK! and take care of yourself during the 2ww. We will all be praying for your BFP.

I had my first ultrasound Friday. I was a little nervous going in as I have not felt nearly as bloated this time as I did previous. My lining measured a 6.9 (the last time it only got to an 8), and he said I had plenty of follicles. Although, he is stressing it is quality not quantity. I go back in for my next ultrasound and bloodwork on Monday. He bet me a quarter my transfer will be on either Thursday or Friday of next week.

Prayers for everyone. My husband keeps telling me, God has a plan for us: )

disappointing news

Post by mbelle1019 »

Sue, How are you holding out during your 2ww?

Michelle, Have you been back to the doctors. I have not seen a post from you since your first scan last Friday. How are you progressing?

My retrieval is Friday morning. I received some disappointing news myself today. My lining is only measuring 8.18mm, so I am likely to have the same issues with the embryos not implanting. The doctor wants to be more aggressive with the number of embryos he implants. I am keeping a PMA (or to be honest trying to keep a PMA) that I will have at least 4 good embryos to implant.

Prayers,

Michelle

Hey ladies, still a no go for us on the IVF. We had another scan on Monday and only 3 stimming follies, so the doc decided to cancel the IVF and just do an IUI instead which we did yesterday (Wednesday). So now we're on our 2ww as well. We'll go in on March 8th if AF doesn't come before. A little disappointed about canceling the IVF but we had a feeling that my ovaries weren't going to respond well due to my high FSH level (13.1).

If this doesn't work we may go the egg donor route. Is anyone familiar with this or been through it? I don't think we'll try IVF again because chances are we will have the same result. We may just move on to adoption. So many big (and expensive) decisions to make. My head is spinning!

Take care & good luck to all of you!

Hello all,
Hope you don't mind me dropping in. Mel here, back after a failed IVF last year. On 2ww after first frozen transfer now. Feel like I should be all rejuvenated and healthy after the 2 month break, but haven't really managed to get any healthier or destress too much!! Have my fingers crossed, but they would only transfer one embryo, even though have a couple more frozen :( so chances this time are slim, but got to have hope! (just takes one right!!)

Good luck to all of you at various stages! Belinda, Di, nice to know there are a few on this side of the hemispere too :D
