Hi Laura,
Wow - you're testing in a couple of days! Fingers and everything else crossed! How old is your little one? 3?
Our Lucy is only 13 months, walking and interested in anything. And because the walking is rather slow (unless she's after something!) I tend to pick her up...until ET, now I can relax when she's at nursery (3 days a week) and panic like mad when I look after her the rest of the time....but I'm repeating myself!
Yes, I keep going through the same 'symptom-seeking' process loads of times each day, thinking it hasn't work because I can feel a slight rumbling around my ovaries. But then it disappears again as well for ages, so don't know what to think about that! Hope you are feeling OK, Laura!
The nightmare that transpired today is that it looks like I'll have to be in an all-day meeting on my test day! I tried to get out of it, but as it's one of the days I work there's really no way out! So, will have to tell the clinic to call DH with the result and then I have to be patient until I get home (could be anything from 8pm tp 11pm)!!!! Nightmare! Last time was perfect! I had arranged to work from home, got the call and went out shopping for a pregnancy book! This time there's just too many bad omens...!
Enough of the superstitious stuff. Hope you're all keeping well! Lots of wishes for BFN to everyone,

Bina, you'll just have to wait until you get home....a long wait though! Can't hubby phone you in a break or something?

Laura, good luck testing on Friday.

I was doing OK but today I've slipped a disc and it's killing me. I'm self-employed and I really can't cancel courses (I'm a trainer) that have been booked and paid for. Ah well, another distraction to help this final week go by.

Debra, gosh, how did this happen? I thought you were taking it easy? I know re: self-employed because DH is and he drags himself to all sorts of places when he's unwell (when he really is, as opposed being a man!). Do you have an ex-colleague or mate or someone who could take over or at least share some of course? What a nightmare!
But you're right, the one thing about work is that it keeps you from worrying about it all......
Laura - good good mega-luck for tomorow!
All the best, love

Yippee, meeting next week cancelled, so hopefully can stay at home to await the call from the clinic...fingers crossed nothing else will come up!

Laura - any news yet?

Debra: Sorry about your backache, but for me , when i was om my 2ww, it happen to me as well and guess what? I was pregnant! So, let's hope it is an obscure pregnancy symptom which no one knows!

Bina: No news and quite frankly , i don't feel too positive...Anyway, to make the day goes faster today , I spent ages in Boots deciding which test to buy: with lines or digital or words or plus signs or...

Oh ,... forget about not carrying any weight: DD just refuses to walk sometimes and wants to be carried...She is 3 so I don't mind as it will be probably be the last year which she still can be carried around in the arms ( I know, suddenly i don't want her to gow up ever....)

Laura, best of luck tomorrow. Hopefully that 'nothing' feeling bodes well as that's my situation too.

Bina, I'm glad that badly timed meeting is off your agenda. You can concentrate on waiting for that call.....

My back is at least diagnosed (trapped/damaged nerve). Saw a chiropractor today. Back again tomorrow and most of next week by the looks. He's keen for me to know if I'm pg or not as he wants to xray it too. I didn't do anything to spark it off, just ambling along but it's the same site and pain as an injury a few years ago which I did nothing about. These things come back to haunt you it appears.

Good luck Laura, I'll be looking for your news. My DD is 3 in May and I don't want her to grow up too quickly either.

Hi Debra and Bina:

Guess what? it is a positive!! :D

As you know , now I am really nervous!! 40 weeks of not relaxing, or ever!!
I hope and pray the pregnancy keeps going well.
And no symptoms: no sore boobs, but today just little queasy.. maybe just the nerves and/or psychologically I need to feel pregnant!

Iam really keeping my fingers crossed for you both so we can be pregnant buddies with cheeky toddlers around!
Love

Laura, I've posted elsewhere but you deserve double congratulations!

You've only got 36 weeks to go don't forget :D you're already 4 weeks (take a peek at the Pregnancy Calculator and work out your due date...go on!). I reckon it must be mid/late October??

The chiropractor and I have an understanding, no more dramatic wrenching and yanking me around until after I hpt on Tues. I'm due to see him 11 on Tues and he'll either have to be super-careful or devil may care, according to the result. I cried and cried yesterday in the apt. when he suddenly twisted me and really shocked me with the roughness of the treamtent. Although I tried to explain why I felt so protective of this potential pregnancy, he just kept saying 'don't worry, it's quite safe'. Yeah right...try being in my shoes and saying 'don't worry. Anyway...we'll have to get on with tmt fast because it's extremely painful and affects everything. No worries about DD now, I can't do more than pat her head.

Laura, best wishes here on in.

Bina, it's up to you and I now. How are you feeling? any symptoms? I have none, my boobs are a bit bigger but that's weight gain (8lbs in 2006) I think. All tenderness has gone. Some nasty sharp stabbing pains on one side (ectopic again??), we'll see.

Have a good relaxing weekend,
Debra

Well done again Laura - bet you're celebrating tonight!

My heart goes out to you, Debra! Sounds like you're in such agony! Can't believe the chiropractor yanked around that much...maybe that just 'put things in the right place', you never know! The one good thing is that you can't lift anything, I suppose, so - like you say - no danger there! I just hope you'll feel better overall to cope with the remaining few days! Can DF help over the weekend?

I have no symptoms whatsover; keep thinking there might be some twinges and sharp pains around my ovaries, but not sure how much is my imagination and how much is real! My boobs were sort of tingly yesterday, which made me quite hopeful, but it's all gone today; all floppy and tiny again...keep trying to look for things, but really there's nothing there....the one thing is: (without being too graphic - apologies) I have quite a bit of discharge (white/mucous-y like - sorry!). Has anyone had this before? I seem to remember I had that before, but can't remember whether that was in the 2ww or once I knew the result. Anyway, might have to do with the pessaries, not sure.

Anyway, here's to Laura and her fantastic news and a relaxing, nerve-calming and healthy weekend!

Lots of love,
bina

Hi Bina. DF will be around tomorrow but works evenings so tonight until midnight and then again Sunday from 3pm-midnight. It's only every other week but a pain in the butt when I need him here, like now! DD doesn't go to sleep without a fight. Every single night and it's exhausting. She takes between 1-2 hours to drop off, no matter if like today, she didn't sleep at nursery as usual. She throws off her pjs and nappy, she throws things out to make a noise, yells that she's hurt/cold/hungry/whatever she can to get me back upstairs. I'd ignore it except this is Norway and no place for no-pjs!

No I can't lift anything, if something falls on the floor, it stays there!

I use pessaries so wouldn't notice anything natural being emitted as the melted gunk would cover it all. I think I read someone on the 2ww thread saying the same only yesterday though.

Have a good weekend, next week is a biggie for us both. I feel nothing except still these sharp, nasty pains over one ovary. Nothing to be done about it of course.

Debra.

Bina, How are things?? Thinking of you.

Debra: I have read once that some people actually concieves after chiropractic treatmet. Something to do with the blood flow to the uterus, which is related with lower back.
Infact, I just did loads of acupuncture and the chinese doctor was treating my lower back as she said it is important for the uterus.
So, don't worry about the treatment, it may even helped the ivf!

About my symptoms: breasts are a little bigger now :? if only just. I think i definately had some nausea today...i am actually looking forward to this asap to easy my mind...
Late on my test date, i had the slightest brown spotting, but gone now. It didn't worry too much as I had a light period for 5 months after i conceived DD through IVF. But I just keep going to the bathroom to check every 5 minutes!
I will relax when I see the hartbeat really. Will know from the clinic tomorrow when i should have this done.

During my 2ww, myself and a friend who I hadn't seen for a long while and not knowing about my ivf, met for coffee with our girls.
Later on ,she emailed me saying that she 'smelt something in the air' and was I pregnant?
On my test date, the first person i emailed was her telling so. Little she knows that that email helped my PMA so much!!!

Love
