Please DON'T use First Response hpt's!! Read on.....

Post by sophie »

I did a First Response early hpt today and it was negative. I may well not be pregnant but after a few negative comments about first response, I decided to look further.

Look at website drugstore.com and type in First Response in the search window. There are literally pages of bad comments from people who have used it saying how bad first response is, and how other tests, particularly clearblue, are more reliable.

So many women have had negatives even AFTER their test dates, despite it claiming use up to 4 days before, then used another brand and got a clear positive. One pregnant woman even tried her 'spare' test 8 days after a first response negative and a clearblue postive just to see if it would still show negative and it barely had a visible line!!!!

Reading all their comments has renewed my hope and although I know my result might still be negative, my PMA has returned!!!!!!

I am NOT saying that they don't work for some people, just that they don't appear to work for quite alot!!!

Don't make the same mistake as I did!!!!

hey thats great... I just hope its BFP for you!
I had just gathered some strength to take the HPT, but reading the stuff I chickened out again! I shall wait till tomorrow anyways....
I think blood tests are more reliable because if the beta hcg is below a certain level these HPTs dont catch them..... also, there is always room for error!

Good luck to you, hope your dreams come true!
