Hi Girls,

Well, as promised I'm posting again - I don't know about you but I'm suffering in this heat, its so sticky! Had to have a lie down when I got in - hahaha.

Well, I can't believe I've managed to get to day 8 of the 2ww without crying - a definite record for me, but since I've started with acupuncture I've noticed some changes. I'm much calmer and emotionally stable, I never have cold extremeties, in fact I've even started suffering with sweaty feet

and I know what you mean about the alcohol Alison, I've had something similar, and just last monday, she said my pulse had changed, probably because I'm pregnant! Hmmmm, not sure I'm quite that believing.

Thought I'd share a few funnies with you (sorry, could get a bit long this post).

On e/c day, we waited in the hospital room for them to collect me, and about 10 mins before I was due to go for e/c a nurse came for LES!!!! Well, we both looked a bit shocked (Les has always gone after me, but then its been GA and this time I was chancing a sedation). So I stuttered "How long...." meaning 'will they be before they come for me', but the nurse took it as meaning how long will Les be and said "Oh, he'll only be about 10 mins, well depending on how good he is!" Groan - Les said she didn't really speak after that - hahaha.

So, I'm on the bed for e/c and they've put the needle thing in my hand and injected a few things into me, and start getting me ready (cleaned around the area etc). I started to worry that maybe the sedative wasn't working and asked how long before it'd take effect - "when we've given it to you" they laughed.

Apparently the porter asked afterwards if I'd had a nice sleep, to which I replied "Have I been asleep - no one asked me to count back from 10".

For e/c, I had turquiose toenails, which one of the nurses said was garish, so for e/t, I had yellowy-orange with orange sun and black silohetted palm trees on my big toe nails that Les did for me - even the consultant commented - don't think they'll be forgetting me in a hurry.

Oh well, thats plenty of waffle for the mo.

Terri - thanks again, I keep my eye open for your progress to - can't wait for the final news as I bet neither can you. Hope the rest of your pg goes well.

Grace - its nice to hear from you and I'll be keeping everything crossed for your next cycle.

Michelle - isn't it so much easier to say PMA to someone else - thanks for reminding me and I'm sure we'll eventually meet up as we've discussed before

Jen - thanks so much for your wishes, they are appreciated.

Gem - FF is Fertility Friends site, some of us post on both here and there.

Alison - hope you have a lovely evening tonight and that we can chat tomorrow - looking forward to it.

Lots of love everyone

Fiona xxxx
