Hi Fiona, just wondered how you were getting along? Are you on the 2ww now? I'm sorry, with the board being down for a while I've lost track of where you've got too.

I quite understand you not posting often - I've been a bit on and off with my posts - we've all been here so many times before! Anyway, even if you don't feel like posting, I just wanted to let you know that I was thinking of you and am so hoping that it works out for you this time.

Much love

Alison x

Hi Alison,

Thanks for thinking about me - I think about my buddies on here often but most of them I now have contact through FF or by e-mail. Do you fancy arranging a time and date to chat so we can swap details, or if you prefer, contact me on FF and I can send you an IM with them - my username is the same on there as here. I have had problems with both my PC and my internet connection (long story) and added to the problems this site has had, I've not posted for ages - I kept loosing posts which was very frustrating as you can imagine!

Well, my update is I had 2 embies put back (poor response this time, but no different result than my other cycles) and I'm now on day 7 of the 2ww - the official test is 17 July, but whether I can wait that long ......

Today is not the best of days - last night I was reminded about my ectopic with a dull (bad) ache around the site, but its subsided now - I'm not going to dwell on the fact I have 10% chance of another ectopic, but - well you'll know what I mean.

Are you soon to do FET - I think you said 3 weeks behind me so that should get you to FET in a fortnight - is that right? Good luck - I have a good feeling about this one for you.

Lots of Love

Fiona xxxxx

Hi again Fiona and everyone. I won't try to navigate the FF site again. I managed it once (to see your youthful picture!) but since then haven't been able to log on. Am also slightly reluctant to put email details on here in case the hackers try to do anything nasty to my computer! I tried and failed to find a time to chat to Fi but am game for trying again. I'm out tomorrow but could do Thursday evening (any time after 7pm, in some ways late evening is better), or am I right in thinking that Saturdays are good for you? I s'pose I may have to go in to the clinic, but should be back by 11.30am, so could do some time after that? Let me know when suits - I tend to have a quick look on the boards most days from work but not post, so leave me a message about when's best.

Sorry you were having a bad day. I do know what you mean - it gets harder just to visualise it being positive. I think I'm slightly in denial about the whole thing, and using the fact that its an FET to tell myself it doesn't matter if I "carry on as normal" (i.e. carry on rushing about, drinking etc.!) until right up close to e/t as I'm not actually making the eggs. I was slightly perturbed though at accupuncture last night when my Dr said that he could tell I'd been drinking more alcohol! I go in to the clinic on Friday, day 10 (roughly - can never be sure with my periods!) and will take it from there, so yes, e/t in about a fortnight - its good of you to remember. Let's hope by then you'll have had some good news (although inevitably still be worrying!)

Anyway, that's quite enough waffling from me. lots of love and luck to you,

Alison xx

Hi Girls,

Well, as promised I'm posting again - I don't know about you but I'm suffering in this heat, its so sticky! Had to have a lie down when I got in - hahaha.

Well, I can't believe I've managed to get to day 8 of the 2ww without crying - a definite record for me, but since I've started with acupuncture I've noticed some changes. I'm much calmer and emotionally stable, I never have cold extremeties, in fact I've even started suffering with sweaty feet :-) and I know what you mean about the alcohol Alison, I've had something similar, and just last monday, she said my pulse had changed, probably because I'm pregnant! Hmmmm, not sure I'm quite that believing.

Thought I'd share a few funnies with you (sorry, could get a bit long this post).

On e/c day, we waited in the hospital room for them to collect me, and about 10 mins before I was due to go for e/c a nurse came for LES!!!! Well, we both looked a bit shocked (Les has always gone after me, but then its been GA and this time I was chancing a sedation). So I stuttered "How long...." meaning 'will they be before they come for me', but the nurse took it as meaning how long will Les be and said "Oh, he'll only be about 10 mins, well depending on how good he is!" Groan - Les said she didn't really speak after that - hahaha.

So, I'm on the bed for e/c and they've put the needle thing in my hand and injected a few things into me, and start getting me ready (cleaned around the area etc). I started to worry that maybe the sedative wasn't working and asked how long before it'd take effect - "when we've given it to you" they laughed.

Apparently the porter asked afterwards if I'd had a nice sleep, to which I replied "Have I been asleep - no one asked me to count back from 10".

For e/c, I had turquiose toenails, which one of the nurses said was garish, so for e/t, I had yellowy-orange with orange sun and black silohetted palm trees on my big toe nails that Les did for me - even the consultant commented - don't think they'll be forgetting me in a hurry.

Oh well, thats plenty of waffle for the mo.

Terri - thanks again, I keep my eye open for your progress to - can't wait for the final news as I bet neither can you. Hope the rest of your pg goes well.

Grace - its nice to hear from you and I'll be keeping everything crossed for your next cycle.

Michelle - isn't it so much easier to say PMA to someone else - thanks for reminding me and I'm sure we'll eventually meet up as we've discussed before :-)

Jen - thanks so much for your wishes, they are appreciated.

Gem - FF is Fertility Friends site, some of us post on both here and there.

Alison - hope you have a lovely evening tonight and that we can chat tomorrow - looking forward to it.

Lots of love everyone

Fiona xxxx
