Those dreaded letters.....BFN

I kinda knew it had not worked. P!ssed off more than sad. Will do FET again but won't let me after this cycle, must wait till next cycle so no baby again this year!

Hospital did urine test which was negative and told me to stop all meds even though it is only 1st day of expected period. I though they might say wait a few days and try again. I know it's neg. but I thought there might be a small margin of error. Oh well.

Hugs to you all, Sophie x

Sophie,

Have you actually had your AF yet? If not, then there still may be hope. Maybe your body takes longer to read. Sorry don't want to get your hopes up pet but if AF is not here then who knows???

Do you think I should stay on the meds for a few more days then, just in case (not that I am getting my hopes up - I am realistic about the whole thing)

Sophie,

I would stay on the meds. My clinic only test 16-19 days afterwards as they believe all clients bodies are different and some read later than others. It won't do you any harm.

best of luck.

Sophie,
I am gutted for you. A BFN hits you hard even when you tell yourself you are prepared for it..
Sending you big hugs..
Even if baby doesnt arrive this year, I'm sure she will be conceived in your next cycle.
Heres to that!

hugs,

Oh Sophie - I'm so sorry.
It has been known of course that waiting that few extra days can make a difference, but in the meantime be kind to yourslef and give you and dh a treat - you deserve it.
Sending cyber hugs.

Sophie,

Hang in there! It seems strange that they wouldn't want you to wait a few days -- so many clinics don't fully trust those urine tests and only rely on the blood tests. (That said, mine is not one of those and was fine with my hpt negative results -- but I also had gotten full blown AF by then). I say, hold off for a few more days, see if AF arrives, and if not, test again! And in the meantime, treat yourself very kindly.

SOPHIE

I MUST SAY THAT IF AF HASN'T ARRIVED I WOULD FIND IT HARD TO BELIEVE THE -VE RESULT!! KEEP TAKING THE MEDS AND TEST AGAIN!! YOU NEVER KNOW. I WAS TOLD TO TEST 16 DAYS AFTER ET. EMBRYOS WERE 2 DAYS OLD AT ET. WHAT ABOUT YOU?

Sophie:
Very sorry to hear your news.
I would test today/tomorrow again with clearblue and not a NHS preg test. Try the very concentrated morning urine. I had once a negative NHS pregnancy test which was in fact a positive with Clearblue, but if clearblue is negative, it means you are below 25 hcg, then it is up to you and your clinic together.

If this cycle is negative, look after yourself and prepare for the lovely little embryos. It will work!
