Hi folks,
We are new here..It's great to know this forum.
We have been through 2 IVFs...both failed...the last IVF was only days ago...we had 3 grade A embryos transferred but they did not survive, the doctor could not tell us the reason why they were failed...we still have a frozen embryo...any suggestion on what we should do?
We started to loose our trust on IVF...... how many times is "enough?"
Love ya..

I'm about to embark on my fourth go in April and probably my last. It's only ever enough when you mentally and physically can't take it anymore or when it's likely to bring problems to your relationship.
Infertility is such a demon and brings all sorts of sad and angry feelings to us. But what doesn't kill you can only make you stronger.
Some of the ladies on this site you will see get pregnant 1st time and others it can take 4th or 5th and some may never, so really it's up to
you and DH but what I would say and this advise was given to me on this site, don't make any rash decisions will you are still feeling down.
Last week I had made it through to ET and then the embryos died 10 mins before. I refuse to give up yet though but I nearly did. I'm already about $35k out of pocket already but I will be able to look back and at least say I tried my best to become a parent and have no regrets.
Hope it works out for you. Let me know if you need anything.

Hi Notski, I am also in the same boat like you, but little bit far ahead. I tried 2ivfs and 1 FET(read my earlier posts). I became pregnant in FET but miscarried about 5/6 weeks. I completely lost hope in ivf. It didn't work out for me. I did accupuncture for the FET. That could have helped implantation. But recently aftert my miscarriage and D&C, my doc said I had chromosomal abnormalities in my embryos and adviced for PGD next time. May be you should go for PGD next time. Ask your doc about this.
It worked for me third time so don't give up hope - I also know someone who was successful sixth time. Good luck - I hope you get your dream

Third ICSI July 2005 BFP and praying it continues!! 6, 8, 12, 13(Nuchal) 20, 25 and 28 week scans successful! Emily Ann Cane born 8.4.06 - more beautiful than we could have imagined
My doctor said it takes the average couple with average ivf age 3 times to get pregnant. Some are lucky to get it straight away others longer. I went into it with a long term view as it felt best for me, anything quicker would had been a wonderful bonus. But it really it is up to you on how you can cope, feel you did your best at all times. Try to keep positive even when things are hard , talk to us etc.
Wishing you all the very best and look after yourself.
