Protocol after M/C

Post by ash »

Hi Girls,

I will be soon cycling. My clinic for my IVF cycle always sticks to the same protocol with which i have conceived . (clomid + Menopur). Only the ampoules had been increased to 6 in 1 cycle.

I have had a history of a chemical , ectopic and a missed abortion. The subsequent investigations(immunological, karotype) revealed all was in order.
So was wondering whether protocols are changed only in case of BFN or
changed even in case of a miscarraige.

Thankyou for sharing your experiences,

ash.

PS - thanks all for ur warm words. Am looking forward to my next cycle.
:)

Ash,

Was your missed abortion named as a "Blighted Ovuum", just curious as I had one of those 10 years ago and I think it is also refered to as missed abortion.

Thanks

Hi Ash

I have had 2 miscarriages now, I use Menopur, 6 amps per day.

I am due to start again either March or April, I will find out which month tomorrow. Anyway I will be sticking to menopur, 6 amps per day..

Sorry thought i had posted my reply earlier, just realised it does not appear

Macca8,

My missed abortion happened at 13 wks. We had a great 10 wk scan and then this happened. A missed abortion is when there are no cramps or bleeding indicating something is amiss.

I think a blighted ovum is when there is just a sac and this is usually confirmed at the 1st scan. I believe it is more in the lines of a chemical pregnancy.

Caz,

Clomid is medication to improve the quality of the eggs and also helps in ovulation.

thanks lucy,

wishing u all the very best in ur treatments
