Anyone else EC/ET next week?

Hi girls, Dolly and I have been posting each other for a while as we're practically at the same stage in our cycles - I wondered if anyone else is having EC/ET next wk? Let us know how you're getting on if so! Beck x

Hi Beck, have just been for scan and EC is on for this Wednesday 16th so only a bit ahead of you. ET hopefully Friday. Love Kat x

Hi Kat, Lots of luck for tomorrow!!! Have you had EC before? This is my first ICSI and I must admit I'm dreading EC - King's use local rather than general anaesthetic. Let us know how you get on - will be thinking of you! Beck x

Hi Kat and Beck I just wondered if either of you have had any discomfort whilst you have been on the stims. I have had 5 injections and was expecting to feel something or have bloating - but so far nothing... I am now worrying that the drugs might not be working... I never thought I would be wishing pain on myself - but at least I would know something was going on!! Kat - all the best for the EC tomorrow. Love Dolly PS: the injections are getting easier - it only took us 5 minutes last night and no tears!

Hiya everyone, I too am one of the ET group, and will be having transfer this Wednesday or Thursday, blasto's are being put back, so a bit different this time round (5th). Good luck with all your ec's and scans, it feels like we are constantly waiting for something to happen, the wait will be over for us all soon! Take care and best wishes to you all. D x

Hi all, Dolly - don't worry - I haven't had any bloating at all, but the drugs seem to have been quietly doing their thing! Glad the stabbing's getting a bit easier. Dawn - good luck with the blastos - are they frozen? or are you just supercool about EC?! Fingers crossed for us all. Beck x

Hi again, Dawn, I've just been reading the July cycle buddies thread about your horrible time with EC - poor you! Really hope you're feeling a bit better now - sounds scary. Sorry to be gormless and not read properly before posting - I only get to go on the site at work so am always sneakily reading when supposed to be working! Hope you feel well enough to get out in that lovely sunshine soon Beck x

Hi everyone, you may have seen on the other thread that I got one egg and it has fertilised so ET is tomorrow. Can't believe it's real and that I have got this far. Dolly - I didn't have hardly any symptoms when I was injecting - only felt a bit bloated some days and a bit emotional but nothing nasty. Becky - I had local for EC and it was fine - I don't remember a thing apart from telling the nurse I felt a bit dizzy and then it was all over. Apparently I told DH twice 'that's the nice nurse' but I don't remember that either. Felt tired and wobbly afterwards but not sick at all and no pains and had 4 slices of toast when I woke up. Just a bit of bleeding yesterday and this morning but that has gone now. Now got sticky knickers from the pessaries and am farting a lot (sorry) - must be the after effect of the drugs. Thanks Kat, that's exactly what I hoped you'd say! I had local for an endoscopy years ago and didn't remember much at all. Here's hoping the whole thing is a blur. Mmm, pessary side effects sound delightful! So many charming elements to IVF aren't there. Will all be worth it though when that lovely emby of yours settles in tomorrow. Beck x

Hi there, Good luck Susi and Kat with your ETs tomorrow. Those pessaries sound really grim - I had been focussing so much on the injections and then the EC I had forgotten all about them! Dolly
