Baby Aspirin ??

Hi Everyone,<br><br>I've been reading the threads and have been wondering what baby aspirin is for? My Clinic hasn't mentioned it, but as I wasn't sure what it's supposed to do, I'd thought I'd ask your advice.<br><br>I'm just about to start first IVF attempt, so wondered if I should start taking it?<br><br>Thanks,<br><br>Jo<br>xx

Hi Jo, I think that baby aspirin is supposed to thin your blood and increase the blood flow to the vital bits & pieces where hopefully your embryo will implant. It's also believed, because it thins the blood, to reduce the chance of miscarriage.<br><br>My clinic did not say anything to me about it at all but I started taking it because quite a few people had reported ++ results and some swore that it was aspirin that made the difference.<br><br>Well, I started taking it around the time treatment started and had a positive result on our second attempt. I didnt take it the first time and the ICSI failed - who knows??!! It's all a mystery I'm sure in the end anyway and of course you'll also find people who've taken it religiously and still had a negative result<br><br>I'd ask your clinic just in case they have any particular views against you taking it but for most healthy bods I'm sure its probably OK.<br><br>Whatever you decide - best of luck with the treatment. Hi, not really any symptoms I can spot. I'm always hungry anyway!! Scan is next friday - of course I'm dreading that they'll find nothing but trying not to think like that. Its just so hard to think that its true until some professional person says it is !!!<br><br>Lots of Love - Jo. X
