Af arrived on the exact day I didn't want it. Had a long conversation with the nurse. She was very apologetic but couldn't do anything about it really. If the clinic is closed, it's closed. They wouldn't start me off on my meds 'cos I needed a scan on day 6. The clinic wouldn't be open until day 9. They wouldn't take the 'risk'...even though I said I would! They wouldn't let me go for the scan at another clinic due to insurance etc...apparently this is not professional practice. I tried everything but to no avail. I have an appmt on 13th March to discuss 'next steps'....again. The nurse wants me to take provera should my af be late again as this would mean that I would need tmt when they are closed for Easter. Honestly, I sometimes feel like giving up. I now have 6 cancelled /abandoned IVF cycles to my name before EC! Is this a record?

Anna - can't believe this has happened to you again... What's the plan now? Have you ever thought about changing clinics - could that be a possibility for you? At my clinic there is usually a locum when the dr is away, which makes things so much easier. It must be so frustrating for you.
Traci - how was your scan?? Am so hoping that you will grow some follies. Keeping everything crossed for you!! (Your snowboard story did make me chuckle I spent most of the time on my bottom but it was still loads of fun.)

Not doing too good at the moment. Egg collection went really really badly. For some reason i had actually ovulated, and therefore they were only able to rescue eight eggs. They don't know if the eggs are going to be mature or not, so because of that they have cancelled the egg sharing bit, although they are still willing to go ahead with my IVF. How guilty and how much of a failure do i feel? This other lady who was waiting on my eggs has been informed that it's all off, and i just feel awful about it. Feel like i've completely let her down - she must be utterly devestated. I know in her shoes, i would be.
Clinic have no idea at all why i ovulated early - apparently i did everything right, they think it's just 'one of those things'. Just feel awful about it to be honest. Hafta ring them at 10am to see if any of the eggs have fertilized - if the eggs they managed to collect were immature, then it's unlikely they have, so i guess we're back at square one.
Am in a lot of pain from the actual collection, and have bled slightly, but that's quite normal. Have been advised to rest up completely for a couple of days - not even allowed to lift or carry Brennan.

Got pregnant with IUI triplets in March 04. One triplet stopped growing at 9 weeks. Gave birth to twin boys in Sep 04, Ciaran sadly lost his fight. Brennan's thriving.Looking to give Brennan a sibling soon.

Heather, It is not your fault... nature does what it does, most of the time it's generous to us but sometimes it's very cruel. I really hope the eggs you have left will fertilise and then it won't have been in vain. X
Anna, How cruel is your AF??? Hey if this IVF doesn't kill us, it makes us stronger. You have shown remarkable strength each month. Try to keep that and hopefully you will get there in the end. X
Update on moi..... Appt went fine, no much could be said other than she was as disappointed as me by the way nature had cheated me on the last minutes before ET. I did feel proud that I remained focused and didn't let it all get to me and the doctor said the same. The final decision was that I should leave it a few months and let my body get back to normal and that I should try and get the best possible FSH & E2(oestrogen) readings to maximise my next and final chance. She didn't want me to give up because I have the ability to get pregnant on IVF as I previously showed. She did make some comments on my miscarriages but I won't bore with the details. So my decision is to wait until after holidays in July to start again. I worked AF's out and should be able to start 1st week in July, subject to FSH approx 6.0 and E2 approx 180. It's not that far away and I have a lot of social comittments, weddings, christenings and vacations before then to keep me busy and occupied.
Great to see so many BFP's this month!!! Congrats to the lucky ones and condolences to those like me that failed this time... our time will come...

I'm sure there were other ladies in the same situation I was. It's just sooooo frustrating. I shall get over it now and move on.....

Hi everyone,
Well I am ready to start FET again (the longwinded way, lasting for 2 months) but the nurse said it's best to wait until my NEXT AF as this cycle is not a natural one. I want to go ahead anyway as I don't see any benefit from waiting. My hormones are always screwed up anyway and I may not have anther AF for months. I called my consultant but he is away until next week so I will wait until then to see what he thinks.
heather - so pleased that you have 5 embies!!!!!! Good luck for tomorrow. Please don't beat yourself up about not being able to donate your eggs - you are a remarkable lady for offering to do so in the first place!!
