Hi All

Im new to this site, if fact any site covering IVF. My husband and I
had out first IVF attempt January 2006 which unfortunately failed, but
are attempting a second this June. Would be great to hear from
you to share those hopes and dreams.

Cheers!

Hi Isobel. You might want to have a look at the General Forum. You'll not find a June buddies thread just yet but probably by late April/early May one will appear and you can start chatting to others on the same time schedule as you.

There are other threads, 'Pheonixes Rising' for instance, that's for people inbetween treatments.

Good luck. There's a useful Abbreviations thread on the General Forum too, if all the jargon gets too much!

best of luck with your next schedule.
Debra.

Hi Isobel,
really sorry to hear about your first treatment. It is absolutely devastating to get a negative. It sounds like you are trying to bounce back and have started to orgainse another treatment. Well done. We all deserve a massive pat on the back for keeping on going and putting ourselves through it. If you are anything like I was I was crying and stamping my feet for weeks (months) after my negative, but I did get straight back on the ivf rollercoaster and started another treatment asap. I did 3 treatments in a year (one being a frozen embryo transfer) and looking back this was maybe too much emotionally but I still wouldn't have done it any other way. After the negatives I just had to plan the next go .... and where on earth the money was going to come from!
Good luck for June. The odds are that it will take more than one go at ivf for it to work. The first go would have given hints to your body about what to do with a fertilised embryo so hopefully this go your body will know to cling on to it!!
Hold on to your dreams, think positive.
All the best
