SIDE EFFECTS AFTER A CYCLE OF IVF ..

Post by MARTEEN »

Dear Bel

After having my IVF treatment and having a negative, my period came almost straight away, on day 16 after 2ww, that period was fine.

However, my next period after that, I came on and an hour later I was in agony I was rolling around the floor I thought I was going to have to go into hospital, I have never had such pain like it, I was sweating and then I was cold, I was feeling sick and kept going faint it was excrutiating pain, this lasted about 45 mins and after that I was fine, I can only assume it was my body geting rid of everything, I don't know?!

I would like to hear if anybody else has experienced this or anything else after their failed cycle.

I can't remember having painful sex afterwards or any niggly pains.

Take Care, hope you feel better soon

Love

Marteen

Hi Bel - I wouldn't worry about not having ovulated yet, the hormones can bugger things up, but the pain thing really doesn't sound right at all. If I were you I'd call your clinic or your GP and just get them to check out that everything's OK.

Alison
