Eminde - 2 transferred, that is great! Wishing you many prayers as well. I imagine we will be testing around the same time.

Yogi, Are you still having the negative reactions to the shots?

Hi gang

Well i now declare myself a non wimp as i found the acupuncture was a doddle. For someone who hates needles, i feel very proud of myself. Didn't really feel much difference but this was only the first session, now have another 5 booked in.
So far the downregging is going well. I seem to be quite lucky as i get very few side affect so long may this continue as none have appeared yet but it's early days. Have my baseline scan on the 9th March.

Eminde - Embies are finally home, relax and get pampered by everyone who offers.

Mbelle - You enjoy the fussing over you. When you BFP comes you will then have little ones to fuss over yourself (and little rest) haha.

Lana - Welcome back. My fingers are crossed for you.

Sue and Mel - Look forward to catching up with you good news tomorrow.

mbelle - thanks for the prayers i definately need them. The verse i try to cling onto is "he gives you the desires of your heart", can't remember where it is though.

I’m downregging too, and having my scan on exactly the same day!!!!!

My side effects are few too, and mostly positive ones

(except for the headaches that get worse with time)

Mbelle – Enjoy the tlc you’re getting.

Hi ladies,

Yip well I have had a pretty hard time of it, severe headaches, very very very tired, I had to take a day off work. I started Gonal F yesterday so hopefully that will help with the headaches!!!

I'm going in for BT and scan on Friday, I have taken the following week of work as my EC etc will be that week and I think that I will need the rest!!!

When is everyone due for testing???/

Hi Yogi,

I am happy you think the headaches will begin to subside. Be sure to stay very hydrated while on all these medications. I know I had some of my worst headaches the first time when I went through this. When I first went on the downregging meds, I could not drink enough water.

Good luck with your egg collection. You will likely be very tired that day and maybe the next, mainly from the anesthesia. But, after that you should be ok. I was fortunate to have my ec done on a friday. You will certainly want to take time off after the transfer. Does your doctor transfer the blastocysts at 3 days or at 5 days?

I am testing on Friday, the 10th.

Well, I am off to get ready for bed. I signed on again, hoping there might be some good news. : )

Hello everyone x

I have had brief scim through the post and wish you all so much luck and P.M.A. Huge congratulations for all the BFP s!!! and huge hugs to all those who didn't get a +tive this time. I have had 4 attempts so far and what keeps me going is to think each time the doctors learn something new about me, as we are all so different with different needs x keep trying x

I have been jabbing for a couple of weeks now and started menopur on Friday. This is our 5th attempt at ivf, we are now at a new hospital with some new methods. Trying to get excited about it but actually feel nothing at all at the moment.

I have had the headaches and they are awful aren't they! I have also had night sweats that wake me up !

If all goes well we should transfer around 17th - 19th March. Anyone else around then??

Good luck everyone, I will try and catch up more and make personal ref. when I have more time x

Hi girls

Hope the dreaded headaches some of you are suffering from have finally gone.

I am 10 days in to my downregging but so far no side affects yet except i have been feeling soooo tired. This didn't happen the last time but in know each cycle is different.

Am away for my second session of acup today, should make me sleep more

then have my baseline scan tomorrow to check on the old lining. Will let you know how it goes

I am going nuts on 2ww!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so relieved others are also having shocking headaches. I have had severe migraines which doc puts down to the drugs. Yuck. Hope everyone is feeling better. Anyone else testing on fri 17th? (If i make it to then...HPT so appealing).

MGL - how was the scan, hope all went well?

Lana - Try to relax, you sound like your really going through a rough time. We are hear for you to vent anytime.

Well my scan was cancelled today as i started spotting and when i rang the hospital they informed me the appointment was sent out too early and i must wait until i have had my AF. Will go next Fri 17th for my scan and start stimming that night too.

So i now have the day off with my gorgeous DH and we are off hourse hunting.

Today is the day girls! I would appreciate your prayers. My blood test is at 11, my time. While I am very nervous, I am feeling very confident today about the results. I had a dream last night that they told me I was pregnant. Then today's reading in the bible had to do with Samson's mother, who was unable to conceive, being visited by an angel who told her she would bear a son who to be dedicated to the Lord. Call me crazy, but I think this is God's way of letting me know it is going to be ok today.

Eminde - You should be testing soon?
Sue- I got your reply. How are you doing?
Lana- When is your test date.

I am a newbee to this site, I am anxiously awaiting my test date of 3/23. I just had my ET yesterday 03/09/06. This is our second attempt, first IVF cycle we conceived but lost the pregnancy at 13 weeks after leaking amniotic fluid. So this time it is even more nervewracking. Anyone out there with a similar first cycle outcome? Good luck to all!!

Hello to all

I’ve been off to a meeting 300km and back. This time by train, so not so tiring and even managed to do quite a lot of work on the way there.

Had to give myself the morning injection in the train bathroom while it stopped at a station. The things we do!

My blood work and scan yesterday went well – all going according to plan.

Started on stims last night.

Crossing fingers, toes, .....
