Shock... Twins

Post by chellejaya »

Hi there

I have just got back from my 7 1/2 week scan and found that I am having twins. I can't believe it. I have not had any nausia or sickness.
Both babes are 12mm long and two heartbeats were seen. I am so excited.

My DH was nearly crying, so I couldn't look at him.

I just want to thank everyone on here for all your support. You are fantastic bunch of friends.

Congratulations! Wow, actually...double Wow!

I know Joanne has just found out she's having twins too. There's a twin's thread over on the Pg side, how lovely that you two can support each other and compare notes for the next 30+ weeks.

Congratulations!!!!! I know exactly how you feel! We had our 8 week scan this morning and found out that we are also having twins. We are so excited and so happy! The docs advice was to make sure to find plenty of time for romance and fun in the next 30 weeks :)

Woohoo!! More twins!

Congrats to you new twins mommies-to-be.

We're having twins, too. It's really exciting and overwhelming at the same time. Just think that it's two for the price of one!

Hope that you don't have terrible nausea for the first trimester and things continue to progress well for you both.

:)

That's so funny about the "2 for the price of 1." We keep saying the same thing. Everytime we get that "look" from people about , "oh, twins, hmm, that's going to be expensive" it just makes us laugh about not having to pay for another round of IVF.

The nausea has totally kicked in now. It was like a switch was flipped. I'm lucky if I can keep tea down, which I know I shouldn't be drinking, but everything else comes right back up. Any you know what, I don't even care! I'm just so glad to be at this point :)

Julie -

DH and I are SO cheap - so yes, it was like we got a buy one get one deal on the babies!

Nausea - get Zofran. It's a prescription, but it kept me from throwing up. I took one about every 2-3 days, so I still had the icky feeling, but if I knew that vomit was inevitable, I put on of the Zofran tabs on my tongue. They dissolve in seconds.

They saved my life during the first 14 weeks.
