Confussed Is it AF or just spotting

Post by angelamw »

Hi Girls
:?:

I am really confussed now. This morning when I got up and went to the toilet there was some brown blood when I wiped myself so I assumed that it was my AF and I had got a BFN. For those of you who have not read my earlier posts I am on day 11 of my 2ww following my first treatment with IUI. During the morning every time I visited the toilet and wiped myself there was some brown blood but none on my knickers. Now this has stoped altogether and I don't know what is going on.

I know that I am going to have to be patient and just wait to see what happens next but I am not a very patient person. After all these years ttc I want to have an answer now and not wait.

I have got an appointment at the clinic on Friday to look at startng the next batch of IUI as we assumed that would be my day 3 but as the bleeding hasn't continued I will have to delay that. :x :x

Have any of your experienced similiar problems? Any advice would be very welcome.

Thank you
angelamw

Ohhh - Brown Blood is good!!!!

Because the blood is brown and not bright red it means that it's old blood - so could well be from an implantation bleed!!! And also because it's only spotting and now flowing if you see what i mean it's a really good sign.

I know it's difficult, but keep your chin up hun - only three more days to go, ad you'll know one way or another.

Fingers crossed for you hun

Got pregnant with IUI triplets in March 04. One triplet stopped growing at 9 weeks. Gave birth to twin boys in Sep 04, Ciaran sadly lost his fight. Brennan's thriving.Looking to give Brennan a sibling soon.

Please try not to worry and wait until blood test. Brown blood is old blood, and thats good, its red blood you don't want to be seeing, although I know of ladies who have bleed through pregnancy.

Just try to relax until they do a test (I know thats easy said than done though)

I have my fingers crossed for you, that everything will be OK

Ang,

Why don't you call your clinic and see if they will do the blood test early? Might put your mind at ease a bit..?

Hi, Thank you all very much for your advice. I have spoken to the clinic but as it is treatment on the NHS they don't do blood tests but rely on a home test 7 days after AF is due, which isn't until March 18th.

This morning there is more blood but it is still brown and not free flowing yet. I think I have just resigned myself to the fact that it is probably a BFN. We'll go for the scan to start IUI again and if I'm wrong it will show up on the scan. My appointment was for tommorow but I think that I will have to move that now as it has to be 5 days after your first full day of AF, probably Tues or Wed next week.

Loads of PMA to anyone still on 2ww.
