I have gone through 3 ivf and unfortunately they all failed. One was BFP but scan detected no heartbeat at 8wks while others were BFN. I am 47yrs old and DH is 50. He has a 23 yrs old daughter from previous marriage.
For all of these treatments I used donor eggs from ladies under 33yrs, 29 yrs and 22yrs old. The doctors said that all three had proven fertility. Two of these test were done in the same fertility centre.
Now, we are not sure what to do? My fertility doctor has recommended two tests for me and one for DH.
Tests for me are:
The Doppler Scan: which checks blood supply to uterus.
The Endometrium cultures (Clamidiya and mycoplasm) to check for STD type infertility.
For DH:
DNA Fragmentation: to check genetic makeup of the sperm.
We are going to have these tests done.
Does any body know any other tests which they have been recommended by their doctors or they know of someone who had these and other tests done?
Any such suggestion will be very much appreciated. Since each ivf treatment is very expensive and it is better to have as many tests done as possible to rule out reasons why it did not work?
We are very disappointed and confused, if the results of the above tests come out all negative then what should we do?
