immune issues and embryo implantation with endo

Post by saroj »

Hi all,

I have endometriosis. I had one failed IVF in Jan cycle. I had 1 grade A and two grade B embryo transferred. They did not implant. Doctor told us that, due to endometriosis, there is too much toxicity in my uterus which is very bad environment for the tiny embryos and thats why they die out before implnatation. Moreoer, I have immune issue i.e there is not suffficient oxygen supply to my uterus. But I did take heparin to overcome this problem.

Doctor said, due to endo, the defensive cells r fighting agints the endo cells day and night. When the new embryo is introduced, the defensive cells do not recognise it and kill it the same way they try to kill the endo cells...

Anybody with same problem...I am taking accuouncture to increase my blood flow to the uterus and also some chinese herbal for blood regulation. But I am worried about this implnattaion of embryo...will it ever take place in my case..:((

KIndly reply.

Saroj,
HI!
I'm sorry you're going thru this.. about your endo- a lot of women have it and have gone on tohave successful pregnancies..
have you had a laparoscopy to check out the status of your tubes, uterus etc?
also if you are in the UK, they offer immunological testing in some clinics to test for killer cells- you can check that out too..
Wishing you all the best.

I also have endo. Before starting IVF I had a lap done to get it cleaned up. The Dr recommended having this done because it would clean up the "hostile" environment and the embies would hopefully implant before the endo returned with the vengence that it is known to come back with.

I had my first IVF cycle and I just found out last week that I am pregnant.

I hope this helps and I hope that it encourages you to keep trying. There is hope. It is so hard for those of us with endo because it is such a silent painful disease.

Good luck to you and DO NOT give up!

Thanks Smita for your reply,

I had my laproscopy done in 2005. Then only i was diagnoed with endo. but now after failed IVF, doctor prediced that its the environment thats effecting the implnatation. moreover, i have done the immune test. and my APA was abnormal. that is there is blood clots in the uterus which prihibit the oxygen flow in the uterus. but to rectify that, i took heparin throughout the stims and till 2ww.

Thanks again..

Best wishes

Thanks Ravensqueen,
Good to hear about your case. these kind of answrs do give us hopes right? My doctor said, If my 2nd IVF fails he would recommend doing laproscopy before proceeding to third IVF...I think that waht you did..

AFter how many months of laproscopy did u start your IVF cycle.?
Best of luck in your prgnancy!!
