Dear Debra,

Debra,
Thinking of you and i hope you are coping a little better with your sad news. I am so sorry it happened, no words really to express.
I noticed in another thread that you are cotinuing treatment sometime soon?
I will pray and send all my positive thoughts that it will work.
I am keeping very positive you will join us on being pregnant, and just be a few months behind for the 'siblings'.
How are you feeling Bina?
I had some spotting this week and felt a little nervous. But it has gone and it did happened with DD as well. But it never feels 100% right for the PMA. I , like you, am counting this 12 week's mark...
It doesn't feel right to keep this thread going without Debra. So if you would like to start a new thread in the 'pregnant' section for ladies going through the same, maybe as Debra suggested '2nd time around' , I will join you then and the others. Sometimes it is good for the pma as i feel we are constantly worring with ivf's babies. And I am sure, positive that Debra will join us a little later.
Otherwise girls, send a private message if you want, to let me know how you are both doing.
Lots of love,
Laura

Laura! don't be daft move to the other side as and when you feel ready. You're very sweet but right now (ie. before the m/c starts) I feel fine and only wish this to be over.
DF and I are pretty much resigned to the fact that the FET can't work. We've never had much luck with them but we'll go through the motions, we told the clinic this is how we felt and they didn't correct us and start the 'rah rah rah everything will work out fine', which we appreciated. The same 1 Dr. and 2 nurses have seen us throughout all our treatments over the past 3.5yrs, they're good, pragmatic people
If we end up with just the one, tiny blonde bombshell then we're lucky indeed.
Best of luck, I'll be following your progress.
hugs
Debra.

sorry to but into this thread but I just wanted to say I am sorry to hear your news. 10 years ago, with my previous partner, I fell pregnant naturally by accident and miscarried at 7 weeks. It sounds like the same as you as I had gone for a scan and they found no heartbeat. We weren't offered the chance to m/c natuarally and I had a d&c the next day. It was an awful time so I really feel for you. I am glad to see you are still going to try again and am keeping my fingers crossed for you.
Hi Laura,
Good to hear from you and glad to read that things are going OK - despite the spotting; I have heard that it's not uncommon and lots of 'normal' (as if any of ours are...) pregnancies also experience this. And as long as it didn't go on for ages.
Well, for me the morning sickness and set in now. I'm actually ill in the mornings (was with DD as well), but then the nausea seems to go very gradually over the course of the day. Seems very similar to last time, just feeling a bit more sickly throughout the day. Even though it's not very nice I'm just soooooo pleased to have some sort of sign of being pg. I think I'll do another HPT, just to make absolutely sure... the panic and anxiety really never leaves me...I'm sure you feel similarly?
Re moving to the other side, I'm really torn, because on the one hand you're absolutely right that it's not right to be carrying this on without Debra - on the other hand, I'm personally not quite ready to go over to the 'pg after tmt' forum. But please don't let me stop you - I can always oin a little later. Got a scan on Thursday, so maybe I'll feel more confident then and that's only a few days...
Debra, if you're still logging in, I'm thinking of you daily and cannot imagine how life is going for you at the moment! Hope you're bearing up OK! I admire your strength and determination to keep going! Remember this is all our forum, so please let us help!

I'm still here. I'll follow your news although I'm sure there'll be times when I stay away for a while and I'll be a watcher vs. talker. Strange to call this good news, esp. as it's so physically painful, but the m/c has started which is a blessing. I didn't want waiting for that hanging over me for a week or so. The sooner started, the sooner over. Slightly complicated by DF being ill so we're both feeling like crap and wanting the other person to deal with DD etc. Still, by the end of the week we should both be fine.
Take care and I'll watch for news on whichever forum you use.

Hi Debra,
I hope the m/c has done its course and you can finally move on. It must be terrible so try to take it easy as much as possible. Hard to do with a lively little one I bet.Take care and lots of love.
Hi Bina,,
Lovely to hear from you. I read some good info which may help us relax! If a hertbeat has been seen and one makes to 9 weeks the chance of m/c is only 3%. So 97 % success, maybe a little less for ivf but even then, at least 95%. By the 12th week it goes down to 1% the chances of m/c. Good isn't it?
How was your scan?
Any one else in their 2nd ivf baby?
As for myself, horribly sick with nausea, just doesn't go away. Much more than DD. So it looks like it will be a very hairy baby , as they say...
The doctor had organized for me to see the midwife and she sent me for a scan on wednesday. All is well and the baby is spot on 9 weeks.
It looks like I am a 'spotter' in pregnancies. But they will scan me whenever I have any spotting.
Lots of love to you both.

Hi Laura,
Gosh, those stats really do sound good! I thought the chances of m/c would be much higher - are they still valid for someone who'll be 37 soon?
Anyway. they sound encouraging, thanks so much!
Yes, the nausea has also set in for me! And it does seem worse than with DD, but maybe it's a little harder because we've got DD to look after without any break. Well, had my last scan with the IVF clinic, which went fine. All in the right place, right size and strong heartbeat. Now they have referred me to normal comunity practice, so unless anything goes wrong I'll be a 'normal' pregnancy. Hope it'll all go according to plan, because somehow I feel much safer with my IVF doctors, because they know what they're doing, but hopefully won't need to see them. Now I'll just see my GP and register for the same hospital I had DD.
Hope you had a lovely weekend and good luck for your scan next week! I'll be thinking of you!
Here's to happy mummies and babies!
Lots of love,
bina
