Hi Taylorjools,

i can honestly say i have never had the "disadvantage" of a small butt  . I have worn my normal bikini briefs ( they ride under the bump) my whole pregnancy, i have brought (sp? cant remember the right brought) full briefs for after my c-section so the band is clear of my scar.

I know this doesnt really answer your question though sorry :(.

LittleP: Yeah its nice to think i have 5 weeks and 4 days to go, I think the third-tri is the hardest because you get soooooo impatient!!!

I have a growth scan today so i can peek in on my babies.

Best wishes everyone

Jules

I bought some maternity thongs which are low slung - they have been really comfortable throughout the entire pregnancy. Even now when I'm lugging a whole Football Team round with me.

Don't worry about the weight thing, you don't really start gaining weight until the end of the second trimester/beginning of the third.

Hope you are feeling ok.

Enjoy the scan - let us know how you get on. I have to admit I loved having the extra scans at the end - even though it was hard to see everything, it was lovely having the bits pointed out.

Good luck and have fun.

Hi LittleP

The scan went very well, my little boy weighs 5.24 pounds and my girl weighs 5.88 pounds. So thats a lot of baby for 33 weeks. Both are super healthy and happy. the doctor thinks it will be very unlikely for me to get to my 38.4 days c-section date, so thats exciting, any time after 37 weeks and i am thrilled. I have never felt natural labour as i had to be induced with my daughter so the best thing for me would be to start labour naturally so I have the excitment of it then the c-section. My husband works away from tuesday morning to thursday night each week so I just hope labour starts when he is at home.

I hope everything is ok with you Littlep, fingers crossed for some action soon.

I hope everyone else is ding ok as well

Hi all
Taylor Jules - I've given up on knickers altogether - I can't bear wearing them cos they all dig in so I'm just hanging loose! (sorry if tmi) If I have to wear them I wear 4 sizes too big under my bump - I can't get on with the maternity 'over your bump' ones as they dig in and give me a hard red line all round my tummy. Good luck solving the dilemma.
Lil P - How are you today? Any news?
Jaymee - how exciting to have a date and your scan sounds fantastic. I do feel for you because I'm really struggling to do anything - I feel huge but you're elready measuring a lot further on than me - bless you - still it'll all be worth it in the end.

Love to all - I'm off to hand another essay in - Hurrah!!

Cheryl

I'm here and fine thanks.

Have you had a guestimate of the baby's weight yet?

When I see my Midwife next I shall ask her if she can give me an indication as I am now overdue and getting bigger and bigger and .....

Hope you are ok

Hi danica,

I can feel the baby hiccuping as a rythmic thumping, I know that babies hicup in the womb so i just assume this regular thumping is hicups. I dont think its anything special to twin mummys. Its slightly annoying but it reasures me that my boy is ok because he doesnt move much.
I didnt know you from before but welcome back!

/wave to everyone else

Hi Danica - congrats on reaching 3rd trimester - sounds like things are goiing really well for you. Not long to go now. I'm not sure exactly how to recognise hiccups but my baby's just feel like proper hiccups and my whole belly jumps! Its really sweet. In terms of the twin ladies knowing which baby is hiccuping, I think it's because they know which side each baby is lying but I guess it's not an exact science because they move so much - there's probably don't swap sides though (like ours do) but I'm not sure. Don't be scared if your movements start geiing almost violent soon - I thought my baby was making its way out through my skin when I hit about 32-34 weeks! I was scared but only because I wasn't expecting it. I rang the hospital and they just said to relax because it was perfectly normal for the movements to be getting stronger and stronger. Anyway, great t talk to you. Love to everyone. I see no Lil P yet today - hopefully a good sign! Anyone had any news on Esther yet?

so excited for you all with your hiccoughing bubs :D :D :D

thanks for the knicker tips, I reckon then there is no real solution - never saw meternity things in germany LP it's a desert for maternity stuff apart from normal outdoor clothes, trying to find stuff online...

Looks like the CC approach of going naturel is the only comfy solution then..

Hie Third Tri Gals

Just a quick update, its nice to know that everyone is doing well, My little girl is named Paris, She arrived on the 10th of March at 7:05am via
C-Section, She is a big girl, 9lbs 4ounces, and very contented. I started my induction on monday the 6th of March but only dilated to 2.5cm by friday morning hence the C-Section.

I wont do the personals as my back is still very sore .

But I would like to answer OLivia

If they havent told you that anything is wrong with your baby I wouldnt worry obviously your baby being big means there has to be etra fluid as well. I worried as well until I realised that. Dont worry, hope everything goes well for you.

Will do personal after a rest.

Hi all

Esther - Congratulations! Paris is a lovely name

Smita - I saw the picture of your daughter, Dhruvaa - she is so beautiful

LilP - hope everything is well with you

I had a scan today - my twins are doing well they are both 3¼ pounds (1.510kg & 1.495kg) - one is laying with its head up by my ribs the other is head down. The twins were not being too co-operative today generally moving and wriggling - when they tried to scan a part of the cord to check it was functioning properly one of the twins kept pulling it out of the way! I have another scan in 2 weeks.

The consultant is sending me for a glucose tolerance test tomorrow, but I think it is formality rather than any concern, as there is a history of Diabetes in the family.

Best wishes to everyone
Take care
Ange

hi girls,
firstly a big congratulations to esther - little paris sounds gorgeous, i love that name, well done, u guys must be over the moon!
jay & cc, thanks for the info on the hiccups - guess what, i think my little one had them!! it was different to normal 'kicking' yay! speaking of which, cc, you're right, the kicking is definately getting stronger... i was lying down on my side and the bub was kicking so hard i got scared and thought i was squashing or it something!?! hence, i moved positions to the other side but the same thing lol
ange, glad your twins are doing great, hope everyone else is doing grand too!
dying to hear about lilp!!!!
hugs, d x
p.s... smita.. u are definitely blessed, little dhruvaa is just gorgeous!!!
